Arum was on Nonita's nuts during that time.

Rigondeaux dominating an overmatched opponent is boring. Lomachenko dominating an overmatched opponent is fun and exciting.

        What a bunch of nonsense.

"It saddens me to hear that Rigondeaux has been stripped of his WBO world title and on hearing that the WBA are also considering stripping him," Hyde told Michael Woods of Ring Magazine. "Rigondeaux has worked his whole career to become the best fighter in the world. He was successful in doing this, winning two belts (as well as the RING championship), but he has surrounded himself with people who have ruined his career. No promoter or manager would touch Rigo with a 10-foot pole because these people are too difficult to deal with and they put hurdle after hurdle in front of every opportunity offered to Rigo. This is a nightmare situation for one of the best fighters in the world."

        ...

"Rigo has to take some of the blame for destroying his own career," he said. "He has refused many multi-million dollar opportunities I offered to him over the last couple of years. He needs to get rid of these reptiles and get fighting again because not only will he lose his world titles outside of the ring he will also be forgotten."

You can't blame the weight division because Nonito was getting a huge push in the same division as Rigo. It's shame he doesn't speak english because his and Lara's trash talk when translated is hilarious. When a fighter has the charisma of a wet sock then its the promoters job to create a media persona and I feel like Roc Nation, Caribe promotions, and Top Rank all went through the motions: they never really invested in Rigo and then complain that he doesn't fill seats.

Question is what has Rigo done since he left Arum?
That was how many years ago?
That's like blaming your parents for being ugly.
And you can't move on without blaming them.
Rigo is with the wealthiest Roc nation now.
What has Roc done for Rigo so far?

The other big question is why is this guy not with Haymon?
            Or Floyd?

it's possible...I definitely have to go back and look at that.

Any chance Rigo eventually getting signed with Floyd for the
                Davis vs Rigondeux fight?

Rigo may not be the most exciting but he's more fun to watch than Ward, Mayweather, and other pure boxers. Rigo is THE best boxer in the world.

IF I recall correctly it was the James Kirkland/Glen Tapia fight that was the co-main
