Arum got so pissed Rigo dominated Donaire that he publicly trashed him and then basically shelved the guy..I have never seen this before..The guy dominates everyone he faces and his promoter gets pissed about it

I think he shelved him because he was boring and literally drew no added viewership.

        He's simply unprofitable...

He speaks no English at all, no charisma due to language barrier

He fights in a baby weight division

        He puts viewers to sleep

He literally has no fan base besides a handful of Cubans

He's so unlikable that Jim Lampley tried to get Bob Bennet to DQ him on the spot on live national TV.

That's not true, us white...err I mean white supremacists support him.

But I bet if you made a poll right now on NSB asking who do you support more, Loma or Rigo, I'm positive Loma would win.

I was really surprised they didn't even try matching him in with guys that will make for exciting fights before dismissing him. Top Rank was notorious for that at the time. Prior to the Donaire & Agbeko fights nobody was really complaining about how boring he was because he was putting fighters to sleep. Putting him in there with a guy like Agbeko who was moving up and had nothing in his arsenal to match with him other than experience at a world class level and durability wasn't the best idea. That fight was up there with Dirrell-Stevens in the Hall of Shame. Why not even try to convince him to move him up in weight where there were fighters like Salido or Jhonny Gonzalez to push him? Sure he was small, but the best fighters in his weight class were either with Golden Boy or not willing to risk being outclassed in a snooze fest that would drop both of their stocks (can't say I blamed them either).

I think you're taking a little leeway way with the truth friend.

I don't recall Top Rank shelving Rigo.

I remember Arum ****ting on Rigo after the Donaire fight but he got Rigo another fight on HBO against Agbeko the same year.

After the pitiful performance, HBO said they didn't want him back. He then got another fight about 6 months later in Macau but had to fight off TV because HBO didn't want him.

                    Then he left Top Rank.
