I remember prime Floyd getting his nose busted up by Emmanuel Augustus.
I remember prime Floyd getting rocked several times by chop chop Corely
Prime Floyd arguably lost to DLH and Castillo
I don't remember prime Roy having those problemsComment

may.
had less power and still made people look like fools.

I guess I answered a different question.
I was looking at a fighter's dominance in their prime not their total resume and career.
Still Roy beats Floyd if you don't count Roy's downfall.
If you do count old Roy Jones Jr. and average that with his prime, then maybe Floyd's better because Floyd aged better?
But what's the fun in that?Comment

its a very odd way of judging may. ww may is not prime may (even though he was still the best). may at his best was below ww. when may usually ended his fights inside of 12.
i keep mentioning, regardless of div/era, its very easy to look dominant when youre ''fighting'' a certain level of opponent. rjj, for a big chunk of his career, wasnt really testing himself.
rjj may have been the most athletically gifted boxer of all time but imho may is above him.Comment

Ezzard Charles lost 25 fights. Lost 15 of his last 18 or 19 fights. Guess what? It doesn't matter.
Nor should it for Jones
DLH, Tyson, Ali, SRL, Duran, etc.. All fought past their primes. No one cares because what counts is what they did in their primes.
In Floyd's prime he got busted up by Augustus, Castillo and Chop Chop.
Roy never had those problemsLast edited by Chollo Vista; 07-07-2017, 11:28 PM.Comment

Roy had issues with Montell before he turned the tide but then punched him while down out of frustration.
Roy was more of a once a generation talent than Floyd and his best win/s are better than Floyd but Floyd has a career of sustained excellence which is unrivaled by his peers. Also, I think Hopkins peaked late and wasn't prime when Roy fought him.
I noticed you mention Corrales being weight drained but nothing about Toney's well known issues making weight. Remove the bias.Comment
