To put it simply if a white belter (mCGregor) survives 6-12 rounds with a 7dan black belter. (Floyd) Boxing is fuvked and loses credibility as a sport.
You're talking about a 40 yr old retired boxer. He's the business and media face of boxing so he's doing exactly that....making money and creating buzz.

The odds of McGregor landing a lucky punch are the same as McGregor winning the British Open. Nothing to worry about.

Yep its a joke, its disrespectful, its bad for everything etc....

But it be dumber to turn down so much easy money, boxing has embarrassed itself so much on decisions, mismatch fights

Hopkins has embarrassed boxing so much himself vs Dawson twice

I think everybody will understand its a money grab

McGregor should have at least fought at least once in boxing ring so we can see what he can do. I'm. It buying the fight.

To be honest I've always been a mayweather's fan, his boxing skills are incredible. But I'm not in his boat in this one, he's acting as a clown. I freaking detest this show and I've lost TONS of respect for floyd.

It's not just about winning it by Floyd. Floyd is expected to destroy McGregor anything less is a black eye in boxing.

Stranger things has happened in a circus show.

As I've posted about the ALI vs Inoki fight. Ali's legs almost got amputated after that fight. If McGregor, makes this a competitive fight or at least is still standing for 6 rounds. Floyd and boxing are fuvked.

b-hop is with goldenboy doe !!! Lets get real people and jealous haters.any real boxing fan will never see this as a legit fight.i'm not counting this as mayweather's 50th myself but we are talking about the top 2 fighters of their sport getting in there and earning over $100 mil apiece. i'd do this in a heart beat. mayweather and mcgregor's fanbases, steven espinoza, showtime,Al haymon, Dana white, the UFC and the las vegas economy who stands to bring in a billion dollar weekend knows exactly what they are doing. its called business. cha ching. the united states is the land of milk and honey. its going to be a great weekend and i will be there. peace. We all know that this is a money fight. It's a circus but GBP is being hypocritical because they would have done the same thing if presented with the same opportunity. That being said Floyd will break Marciano record fighting somebody who doesn't deserve to be in the ring with him. I am also worried that this "fight" will open the door to "fake" boxing vs mma fights. We might see more of them for financial purposes. Some mma fighters will have the opportunity to win boxing belts before more deserving boxers.

You're trying to make this an all or nothing scenario. We know you don't like Mayweather. He could knock McGregor out in 2 seconds and you will be the first one on here to criticize it because it's Mayweather. If this was any other boxer you would be praising this fight.

I love B-Hop, but I thought he disrespected the sport by how he acted after Joe Smith Jr. blasted him out the ring! I didn't read the type of comments in December when Oscar said he wanted to promote Canelo vs. McGregor!

nope, because that would ruin the pay day. If he fought once and struggled with a nobody, this fight wouldn't have any intrigue. Because there's an unknown element to McGregor with boxing, it keeps the gullible casual fan intrigued.
