I agree with BHOP. This will deflect attention on what is really the biggest fight...Canelo-ggg.

If this was an exhibition match with part proceeds going to charity.. I'd support it. But this is a clear money grab to get $100 million each and to get an official '50th' win.

I agree with Bhop, I disagree with the whole Mayweather/McGregor event and although I don't believe it to be true, consider this. First off, Mayweather is a promoter, has a stable of boxers and Mayweather Promotions is part of this event. Secondly, Dana White his former gym bag carrier and he have no love lost. Could he really be going to F up McGregor thereby F up the UFC by showing what boxing is all about in hopes of driving more fans to (or back to) boxing and thus MTM Productions. Aside from the disgraceful 50th Win, could it really be in the best interest of boxing?

Like it wasn't bad for boxing when Canelo was trying to create his own weight class in order to duck all the dangerous champs in both 154 and 160 division.

The list goes on and on.
You are talking about guys that have had more than ZERO professional fights, in fact, all the ones who mentioned were or still are champions. I grant you this, McGregor is undefeated as a professional boxer.

I agree with Bhop on this. All the other boxers, the thurmans, garcias, Spence, Porters who's been there paying their dues for a top jackpot, and McGregor just cuts to the front of the line for a lifetime retirement payday in the 9 figures. Paying no dues. .??

                    BHop is being a hypocrite

B-Hop works for Golden Boy headed by Mayweather rival ODLH. ODLH said that he wanted Canelo vs McGreggor about a year ago. He has since said what BHop has said and worse which leads me to think that B Hop is simply regurgitating what his boss says.

The Mayweather bout will take away some of the blockbuseter headlines of the far better GGG vs Canelo fight pr-Hop obviously has a dog in the fight. He is far from an objective observer.

Mayweather has added fighters from his stable of boxers to the card so more get to shine beyond himself and McGreggor.

There are very very few fighters Mayweather could have brought even close the payday as McGreggor with so little relative risk comparatively

I doubt that the public is feeling this fight is anything more than a novelty so it doesn't disrespect the sport. Let's not forget that Ali "fought"Inoki . Chuck Wepner went against Andre the Giant.....all 40yrs ago and boxing is still here. People understood that it was just a exhibition type of bout then and they understand that now. The twist is that it isn't a cross martial arts fight.

There aren't 5 boxers who as many people would pay as much to watch fight fmj.

Remember when Hopkins faked an injury vs. Dawson and robbed those in attendance and watching on PPV of their hard earned money?
