But now he is saying the Mayweather vs McGregor fight is bad for boxing and yet he vouched for the Ward vs Kovalev decision (which is allegedly also bad for boxing).

So the correlation here would be: "Bad for boxing" in both scenarios, in which Bhop took different stances on the matter (said the other was not bad for boxing but then said the other scenario is bad for boxing where's 'allegedly' both are bad for boxing).

I think that is where he is coming from, but of course he didn't articulate himself well at all, which usually happens when someone has an agenda of some kind and doesn't really care about the topic itself.

For the record I don't think Mayweather vs McGregor is bad for boxing. If anything it will bring a whole new crowd into the boxing scene. Boxing is already on the map but this fight will bring it closer to the centre or spread it out more across the map.

Maybe this is Mayweather's way of making up for May-Pac lack of action, especially if he Gatti's McGregor. Casuals will totally eat that shieet up. It also helps that Mayweather is not on the p4p list, doesn't hold any titles, and is 40 years old coming from retirement. If a guy like that can do what we assume he will do to McGregor, then boxing casuals and mma casuals, and casuals in general will come running to boxing.

Mayweather's situation (no belts, no p4p list, age, 2 year retirement) also means that no one actually has a 'legitimate' right/reason to criticize him for taking this fight, only explanation is hate.

Regarding the Ward - Kovalev fight. I think any objective person knows that Ward was well on his way to stopping or UD decisioning Kovalev.

However, any sane person should also agree the fight was stopped early given the magnitude and significance of the fight, and any sane person should also agree that Weeks is a terrible referee. His decision making is subpar to say the least. He should not go anywhere near a big fight like this, I don't even know how he got to that level in the first place.
There was no need for me to write an essay. If he Is't Intelligent enough to understand the point I was trying to make than he Isn't reading and Is just responding. The headlines are on the first page, not "random" as he claimed.

That hasn't happened yet, and it likely won't. If Hopkins said red was better than blue, then said chocolate is better than vanilla, no one is going crazy over that. There's no need to, because there's no correlation between subjects. There's no contradiction to be mad at. So far, it seems like the people you were hoping to make fun of are showing more maturity and intelligence than you...

After all, no one has told Hopkins to "do us a favor and squirm back Into his mother's c**t," over his comments.

You seem to think if a guy is right in one instance it makes him right in all instances.
Some crazy logic in this place.

Hopkin's : "That shows you the lack of respect that he has for the sport," Hopkins said.

Getting to the top is earned. That how life is and that's how success is measured. Making a circus show and turning it to a legit sanctioned fight is one of the many wrongs of this fight. Respect is earned. A circus show should never be billed a sanctioned fight. That's how much a comedy this fight is.

If floyd makes another borefest in this fight and McGregor makes this a competitive fight. Boxing is fuvked again. MMA wins. Boxing gets another blackeye, and Floyd gets away with another bank heist and doesn't give a fuvk if he made a fortune over a borefest while the aftermath of that fight gives boxing a whole new low of irreparable damage while Floyd don't give a care in the world what happens next to boxing. As he rides of to the sunset ripping the people who loves boxing anew.

                  Analogy:

If a whitebelter (MCGregor) succeeds in going 6-12 rounds with a 7 dan blackbelter (Floyd). This only shows MMA is not far behind in boxing game. Anything less than a KO by Floyd to McGregor is a tragedy waiting to happen and puts boxing in a bad light. Pray Floyd performs for boxing sake.

Floyd represent the pinnacle/ premier of boxing supposedly. IF he fails to impress and fails to Knock out McGregor. It's like saying a boxing elite can't finish a novice fighter. Or a black belter in Karate can't finish a white belter.

Boxing takes a huge nose dive if Floyd looks pathetic, and a huge cloud will be hanging in the boxing world for being 2nd fiddle to MMA. That's what is riding here.

Like it wasn't bad for boxing when Canelo was trying to create his own weight class in order to duck all the dangerous champs in both 154 and 160 division.

The list goes on and on.
Valid points. And I agree with others here that if Hopkins and DLH had this opportunity with Canelo for 100M they'd be all over it like a cheap shirt.
