No one here is drawing the line between resume and eye test. In 1993 Hopkins wasn't a champion. So everyone goes to the eye test and says forget it was '93 and he had no resume, he must be prime without a title fight even. Then we give Hill, a top 10 light heavyweight great to some who comes off a loss before Roy beats him the eye test and Ward is head and shoulders better, then we flip back to resume. Pick one.Last edited by ghost94; 07-01-2017, 10:09 PM.Comment

If you have studied Hopkins career and his movements, things he's done his entire career, you'd see that 93 Hopkins still displayed the same characteristics he's displayed for his entire career, except he was just a younger version and physically stronger version.
Hopkins won a title before the RJJ matchup. Even won a title the next fight after RJJ. He took out Sergundo Mercado less than a year after RJJ which was one of Hopkins most notable career victories... But listening to some of these clowns, Hopkins wasn't prime.Comment

Hopkins wasn't a champion because he fought and lost to Prime Roy Jones Jr for the vacant IBF title. That's the ONLY reason Hopkins wasn't a champion in 93. Anyone else pinned across from Bernard Hopkins, outside of Roy Jones Jr, and Hopkins is IBF champion.
Why is that so hard to get through your head?Last edited by Chollo Vista; 07-01-2017, 10:39 PM.Comment
