I don`t think Ward is the best fighter in the world. Why should I believe Kovalev is better win than Klitschko? Klitschko is much much bigger name than Kovalev. Casual fans barely know ward and Kovalev.

The height and weight disparity is likely too much to overcome. I have no doubt Ward is the more skilled fighter but it only helps so much when the opponent is this humongous. Joshua reminds me a less skilled (but still pretty skilled) Lennox Lewis.

If Ward was like a Moorer light heavyweight with that type of power or Holyfield as a cruiserweight then he may have a chance. He is a better boxer than Joshua but just one clean blow from Anthony would probably end the fight. Roy Jones was fantastic against John Ruiz to win a belt/ title but if he fought the then linear champion Lennox Lewis, or Mike Tyson, Roy would have been ko'd badly.
