How the hell is it the same thing when Kovs 6' & the exact same size as ward while Joshua is 6'5 & a hulk looking mofo with easily 30 extra lbs of muscle.

SMH, imagine Ward trying to wrestle and smother Joshua? Ward would be getting pushed and thrown around like a rag doll.

I'm pretty sure Virgil and Ward won't actually ever step foot in the ring against a Joshua or Wilder. I think they were just high on adrenaline and feeling themselves Saturday night. They know better.

I hope they do get in the ring with Joshua, lol.

Irregardless of what Ward or Hunter says, he's too small and lacks power, Cruiserweight fine. Comparisons to RJJ are fair but off the mark,RJJ was a special, one off fighter, he carried power and speed up with him and had a 74" reach. I like Ward and he's a sure IBHOF inductee. Ward Professional power peaked at Super Middleweight, discounting his foul plagued lucky stoppage of Kovalez he's not had a KO at 175lbs. Ward is a technical fighter, he's 6'0 with only a 71" reach and had problems with Kovalez power and 72 1/2" reach. I know all the history of small heavyweights and light heavyweights but most of them had more power and reach. M. Spinks 6' 2 1/2", 76" reach, Ezzard Charles 6'0 73" reach, The Great Archie Moore 5'11 75" reach and Ward ain't no Archie Moore. He can try to bulk-up and pull an Evander Holyfield one of the best Light Heavyweights, Cruiserweights and a damn good Heavyweight but Holyfield had real power 6' 2 1/2" and a 78" reach. What is Ward going to do with AJ 6'6" 82" reach and true HW KO power? I think this P4P thing has put his head high in the clouds and he's breathing thin air. Yes, Tyson was 2" shorter and had the same 71" reach, but does anyone really see Ward as a Tyson, beating a Tyson? A good big man beats a good little man almost every time, particularly if the little man is a technical boxer and the big man is a puncher. Mayweather has the biggest EGO in the business and he knows he can't move to 160 against GGG.

With that said I'd be much more interested in Ward continuing at light heavyweight against Stevenson, Beterbiev, and even Kovalev III. Plus maybe Golovkin finds his way up to a catchweight between 168 and 175 soon.
Bellew is a very big cruiserweight. And he just beat Haye, who is actually a heavyweight..

Ward would probably beat Tony Bellew but AJ would walk straight through him and really hurt him. Hunter is an idiot for even suggesting such nonsense a very 'brave man' on the safe side of the ropes!

Bellew is a fat heavyweight and Haye tore his achillies.

I question Bellew though. I dont know how he goes from going life and death with Chilemba and getting stopped by Stevenson at 175 to knocking out Makabu and Flores at 200.

It's ludicrous that this thread is 8 pages long... what is there to discuss? The answer is an unequivocal no.

Anyone that thinks otherwise needs their head checked.

Never going to happen. I guess they are trying to create the illusion of a possible big money fight but seriously... There are only 2 fights that make sense for Ward, it's either Stevenson or Bellew in the uk.

Even Bellew would be to big for him! But it's a fight where he has a good chance. But Bellew would be favourite.

And even Bellew said AJ is too big for him and he'd never fight him so Ward on some clown ****.
