It's definitely easier to low-blow a 6'6" opponent. May have a difficult time getting in the headbutts though.

Bellew is only there because Haye hurt his leg, he was beating Bellew before and on his way to smashing him up
Bellew couldnt hurt Haye and was being outboxed

I have to give props to Ward, I think he did take Kovalevs mind before the rematch, Kov was less confident and sure of purpose and just slightly hesitant, a shame as Kovalev is really an excellent boxer and his power is just the big cherry on top
I was really hoping he would knock out Son of Judges but Ward reduced him and then caught him in an in attentive moment

No way he beats Joshua, he's not going to reach in with little love taps to the body and run away, Joshua way too strong and has enough skill to make use of it.
      He's definitely not John Ruiz

I think that's cool that Virgil said some of that stuff. That he has that kind of confidence in his fighter. If Ward ever fights again, those things will stay put in his mind, confidence wise. But even Andre knows a guy like AJ would cremate him. He's no John Ruiz. AJ is an athlete that cuts off the ring in a moment's notice and every shot he throws is harder than that punch Kovalev knocked him down with. That fight lasts 3 rounds, tops. And Andre isn't trying to finish a career out with hammerings like that.

[QUOTE=NahMean;17782085]I'd like the Stevenson fight but Ward beats him convincingly IMO.. if he wants to beat a heavyweight then he can try his luck with Bellew who is a winnable fight and Bellew is a big name so that would get Ward his props.. Plus it's easy to promote because it's just like the Creed movie where Bellew and Ward fight so they'd tie it with the movie.

And if Ward does it.. Hey he's an ATG and rivals Mayweather for being the best of this generation.[/QUOTE

So you see Bellew being a harder fight than Stevenson ?
There is probably more $$$ in fighting Bellew in the uk, but if we talking about legacy staying in a packed division and facing Stevenson, Beterbiev, Smith jr, Gvozdyk would be refreshing and ATG material.

He's already the man at LHW.. I'd still like to see him fight guys like Stevenson or Beterbiev. But if he wants to go down in history for going up to HW and beating a guy.. his best chance is against Bellew.

When Ward moved up to LHW to face Kovalev, he dared to be great. However, a move up to HW to face Joshua is to dare to be destroyed.

Do keep in mind, Adamek-Vitali wasn't that long ago, and was a considerably bigger mismatch on paper.

Adamek, though good, is nowhere near Ward's level, and Vitali is ahead of Joshua in terms of resumes (some think Joshua will eventually surpass Vitali, but it's just speculation until he does).
