What does Jackson have to do with Golovkin?

And even most of Golovkin's fans acknowledge that his offense is his primary defense. IE Geale and Lemieux paying heavily for every punch they landed.

It's why I think he's an amazing MW but wouldn't last long at 168 or 175 even against less skilled fighters. At some point they will just get tall and rangey enough to jab/run him to a UD loss.

Yeah I know but you called him a traitor... Traitor to Golovkin? He's doesn't train him & has been calling him overrated for years.

[QUOTE=Metho_4u;17763444]If he's so effective, why did he almost lose to Jacobs? Danny is a good fighter, but only good. Canelo has only lost to Floyd, who is certainly the best of this generation, so an A+ talent and a B level talent. I've watched golovkin many times, he can be outboxed pretty easily actually. Brook was boxing his ears off and he's not the combination puncher that canelo is. I'm not doubting golovkins chin, but there's a difference between that and people thinking he will walk through 4, 5, 6 punch combinations and just keep coming, because at some point, he'll get sick of getting lit up. I also wouldn't say golovkin is stronger, there's no proof of that. You look at canelos neck and back? The kid is rock solid through there.[/QUOTE
Golivkin didn't respect Brook. He wasn't worried about Brook hitting him. G didn't use his jab the way he does if he respects his opponent. When G decided he had enough he moved Brook to the ropes and landed a beautiful combo that was the beginning of the end for Brook. IMO Jacobs is a better boxer than Brook and he had to fight mostly in a defensive posture for most of the fight because G respected his power. Every fighter struggles once in a while. Golovkin isn't Superman but he is an A level fighter. He beats all the people he is supposed to. Not only does he beat them he usually knocks them out. As far as the thought that Danny is only a good fighter the jury is still out. We will know for sure after he fights another highly ranked opponent. I predicted G would knock out Danny because Danny has been down before. I also said if he beat Danny by decision I would be more impressed. I was impressed.
Canelo's combinations will decrease in frequency as the rounds go by. Golovkin can counter punch with power and Canelo is going to get hurt.

Golovkin is an A level fighter based on? Beating 35 C level fighters and 2 B level fighters? One of whom was a WW. So now he wasn't worried about brook hitting him? Let me ask you this, had brook been a faster paced fighter and kept punching, do you think golovkin would've made it out of that rd with a great combination puncher?

Yes to all your questions. Golovkin is an A level fighter. Your rating of the majority of his opponents as C level fighters IMO is wrong.

Ok, who do you rate as B level, that I didn't mention?

Obviously Jacobs and brook, but I don't even really count brook, as he moved up 2 divisions
