Golovkin had no defense when he faced boxers who can't hit hard.

Golovkin showed amazing defensive skills when he fought hard-punching Lemieux.

He didn't need much defense in that fight. He boxed Lemieux. Lemieux was never a threat because he couldn't hold off GGG's offense.
