Thurman is the only guy, he has that IT factor that those other guys lack.

Id echo others, think boxing has to come back to the mainstream in the US before they become stars. Id argue that after last weekend, more people in the UK know who Errol Spence is than in the US, was watching his Twitter followers before and after the Brook fight and it hardly moved. Sad state of affairs in the US currently, should have been his star making

            You seem allergic to reality.

Boxing is alive and well in the US

For a few it is, US seems to only concentrate on the few at the top. Look at Shakur Stephenson, people say why is Conlan getting the immediate push over Stephenson. Twitter followers

              Stevenson 18,000
              Conlan 90,000

Stephenson was British hed be a star straight away, the problem lies in the US

                Twitter

The problem lies in you thinking everything is a popularity contest.

The US produces the best fighters....always has, always will.

The Brits aren't used to having anything...they'd cheer anybody.

The thread is "will these guys be superstars", not who is the best fighter, Im posting accordingly. I like Spence been telling people to watch him for years, wasnt that bothered he beat Brook, as I stated Im a fan of boxing, dont really have any allegiances, booze is in me I go full British though, but thats to be expected.

Good question. All those fighters have the skills to be a star, but personality plays a big role too.

Thurman is very down to earth and always an interesting guy to hear from. I could see him becoming a star. He's unique and just a different personality compared to the old tired, "I just want to fight the best to be the best blah blah, whoever my promoter puts in front of me blah blah blah."

Spence could also be a star. He comes off as a nice guy, but unlike someone like Ward, he isn't dull and he seems to be much more enthusiastic about his career. He's also personable, extremely confident but not arrogant, the media loves those type of athletes.

Crawford is tricky. He seems too laid back and doesn't have that IT factor that Thurman has or Spence has to a smaller extent.

For Ward, he's already an established top p4p fighter and one of the best of his era, so if he didn't become a star already, he's never going to unfortunately.

No chance for Ward to get big at this point. This is as big as he can already get, fighting someone who has an exciting style and record. Ward never had the charisma and obviously his style is an instant turn off for a casual. Wasted some of his prime days too.

If thurman continues to fight like he did against Garcia, against top competition I doubt he gets bigger even if he wins them.

Spence, crawford, canelo-GGG winner, Joshua are the top candidates to reach near those status.
