Just got home from work. Good win for spence, brook still deserves mad props for taking the fight after ggg broke his face. No excuses, hopefully spence keep this momentum up. Thurman or porter either one im sure showtime will pick it up, both under the same umbrella, no excuses.Comment

Looking around at different scorecards, most seemed to score the first 6 rounds 3-3, which feels about right, although I though Brook had an edge in those rounds, so wouldn't have felt a 4-2 to Brook was out of order.
But in round 7, Brook visibly slowed and his guard dropped, and we started to get the first clear rounds. After that it was clear Spence (boxingscene gave Brook the 7th, which I felt was the first clear round for either fighter, but the other way around, to Spence).
Yes Spence got a few good body shots in during the first 6, but my gut feel is that the body shots weren't the prime reason for Brook slowing down in the 7th - just not enough of them, and not placed well enough. Back to the weight beating Brook more than Spence did.
If Brook was stronger at the weight and maintained the same tactics of the first 6 rounds through to the 12th, he would most likely have won. I didn't feel Spence was hitting him with enough to stop him doing that, yet in the 7th he was visibly slowing and getting ponderous.
I think Porter would have beaten that version of Brook the same way Spence did - from round 7 onwards.
Brook said he could fight at 147 again - I hope he listens to the chorus that is yelling in his ear 'no you effing can't kell'Comment

He's the truth for beating a guy coming down from 2 divisions higher and a KO loss.
The Spence standard is definitely funny.
Brook was damaged by the GGG loss and making 147 again IMO and that's what costed Brook the late part of the fight IMO.
THat's is pretty much obvious.Comment

This definitely has the potential to be massive. Both guys have the talent for it they just need a couple more big wins to sell the fight to the masses. I'd hate for a fight like this to flop on ppv because it deserves to be bigi feel you, it could use some marinade, but that fight is the big juicy steak! The danger is letting the meat sit in the marinade too long! Manny wants major cash to fight Crawford! I bet Spence Jr. would fight Crawford in a PPV for half of what Manny wants! It's something for TC & Arum to think about! Bud vs. The Truth is a PPV fight on the level with Ward vs. Kovalev II!Comment

Congratulations to Spence on his win. Those body shots wore Brook out. Brook looked to be better in first half of the fight but Spence was always pressing. Kell should call it a day and retire. His eye problems aren't going away.Comment
