As good as Spence was tonight he admits that the long layoff affected him negatively.

Fighters need to keep busy in order to stay sharp. It's better for them to fight often and not just get in the ring once or twice a year.

I hope other fighters and their managers/promoters take note.

No one can keep him off the top 10 anymore. This victory is one of the best in modern history. Not only did Spence beat a top fighter in his prime, he did it in front of 30,000 people screaming for him to lose, and to top it off, Spence dominated, bullied, and made an elite opponent quit in front of all his fans.

that post was me giving my opinion on the fight, u can take it however u want to. spence is very good but he isn't unbeatable by any stretch. porter would be a very tough fight for him stylistically and thurman is 50/50

I think maybe he didn't have enough reserves coming down in weight, even with good program, he looked gaunt in the face at weigh in and no fat reserves at all, really dried out

Thurman and Spence would be one hell of a tussle. Not sure who I would lean toward right now. They both just scored huge wins. Also, all of this will explode once Crawford moves up. If he carries up a bit of power from 140, he may end up as king of the castle. Peace.

I've said it before. He's made from the McCallum/McClellan/Norris school of boxing. Sound attacker all around, who doesn't mind a little contact.

To beat this guy over 12 rounds it'll take a physical beast or some Julian Jackson/Tommy Hearns type of power.
