Porter was the best American WW at the time? Thanks for the chuckle. I'm going to overlook the fact that Mayweather was active, Bradley was in the midst of a Pacquiao trilogy and just point out Thurman was seen as the force in the division at that time. Porter was a mere paper champ with heavy flaws. Lets not forget the top of that pound for pound list is Andre Ward, the best active fighter on the planet. He replaces Mayweather, the best fighter ever. Both American. Both unbeatable. Ward will keep that spot as long as he wishes, keeping it nice and warm until either Spence or Crawford give him a rest at the top. America is boxing!
