Where is Spence p4p after today?
No one can keep him off the top 10 anymore. This victory is one of the best in modern history. Not only did Spence beat a top fighter in his prime, he did it in front of 30,000 people screaming for him to lose, and to top it off, Spence dominated, bullied, and made an elite opponent quit in front of all his fans.

Pretty great fight. Impressed by Spence's strategy and being able to fight the way he did in the last rounds. Props to Brook too. He made the fight challenging all the way up to the 11th round. Nobody should be mad at him for quitting. He did what he had to do.
I'd like to see Thurman vs. Spence next but chances are, that fight won't happen until next year. So in the meantime, maybe Spence vs. Porter next?

What's with the European fighters who like to hold? I knew Spence would eventually stop Brook. Spence is the real deal.

Now he has quit twice, and he cannot even use the weight as an excuse.
Before the fight Brook said that Spence had never faced a fighter on his level level, which may have been true. But it was also true that Brook never won against a fighter on Spence's level.

Originally posted by Blender View PostYeah, quitting is generally hard to come back from, as the fans tend to leave in droves. I think if he had been stopped and didn't quit, it wouldn't leave that bad taste in the mouth.
I've seen far worse eye injuries than that. Even in the Golovkin fight, they claim they threw in the towel because of the eye injury. Hmmmmm, how were they speaking to Brook during that round? I think he did have a legit eye injury, but that's not why the towel was thrown in. He was taking a beating.
Only this time, he quit, not his corner. I don't really believe it was the eye. He knew he was probably about to be knocked out and decided not to, and use an excuse. All those body shots caught up to him and allowed Spence to start putting the beat down on him. You can tell he was trying to subtly hint to the ref to stop the fight, and then he would've protested.
