This is true. There's a lot of body to be hit when facing Thurman and I don't think he takes those body shots too well.

Thurman does have one hell of a straight though. Would be a fun fight.

I think Thurman will dominate Spence. His counters are incredible and Spence is a non stop pressure fighter. Spence looked good tonight but this victory was also added because of Brooks weight and eye socket. This is not taking anything away from Spence I predicted him to win, but those definitely played a part.

I think Thurman wins a wide UD over Spence and might stagger him a few times with those nasty counters.

        thats where you went wrong

Brook was always going to be real tough, he would have given Thurman fits, or beaten him

that was an excellent win for Spence

        he beats Thurman imo

He is right about Spence's defense though.

Not to take anything away from Spence, but he does get hit rather easily. No head movement at all.

          • Fun fight but a strange fight. Both fighters looked good at times and and both looked bad. The fight shifted after round 7 and the fresher, hungrier fighter won. Errol's body work was the key, I think.

            • Yeah, quitting is generally hard to come back from, as the fans tend to leave in droves. I think if he had been stopped and didn't quit, it wouldn't leave that bad taste in the mouth.

I've seen far worse eye injuries than that. Even in the Golovkin fight, they claim they threw in the towel because of the eye injury. Hmmmmm, how were they speaking to Brook during that round? I think he did have a legit eye injury, but that's not why the towel was thrown in. He was taking a beating.

Only this time, he quit, not his corner. I don't really believe it was the eye. He knew he was probably about to be knocked out and decided not to, and use an excuse. All those body shots caught up to him and allowed Spence to start putting the beat down on him. You can tell he was trying to subtly hint to the ref to stop the fight, and then he would've protested.

I hope this fight puts to bed the 'heir to Mayweather' talk now
That's been reserved for Gervonta "Tank" Davis 😁

On a more serious note, this fight was awesome from start to finish. Respect to both fighters, they gave it all they had and Kell Brook stopping when he did may have saved his eye from permanent damage SO STOP WITH THE QUITTING BULL!!!

A 5'7 Thurman will get stopped by Spence too. When will you all learn?

The only guy that has a chance at 147 is Crawford and I think he'll get stopped too.

Spence can just chill and wait for all those bodies from 140 -147 to come his way.

He just beat the only guy who was big/physical enough to have a chance.
I wouldn't be so quick to assume that Spence would stop Crawford. I could see TC outboxing Spence, assuming he was comfortable at 147. Spence is at the top of welterweight food chain right now (along with Thurman) but TC is special also. It could end up being an epic fight though with definite pound for pound implications. Peace.

I wonder how Kell Brook fans are going to treat him now that he quit.. He has to bounce back from this and prove himself once again. I don't think he can hang at 154 he needs to stay at 147. Now he has to take even less money for a Khan fight who is now the A side again but much respect to Brook he did a hell of a job until that last round nothing to be ashamed of.
I noticed that too. The first round he looked very tight. He was pawing with his jab and wasn't committing to any of his shots.
