Chavez Jr. was getting tagged all night. Whether he opened up or not, Canelo was hitting him like a kid trying to get candy out of a pinata.

If this same Chavez Jr who weighed in at 164, fought Triple G the way he fought this fight. He wouldn't have made it the full 12 rounds. Chavez Jr. wouldn't have been able to execute the Jacobs plan obviously. He would have been brutalized, beat up bad and not been able to make it to the 12th round.

That being said, at least this sham of a fight Canelo vs Chavez Jr. is behind us.

At least the real fight is next for all of us boxing fans. Let the good fights keep coming!

Chavez Jr. is a brawler by nature and that was his best chance at victory.

If he would have had Robert Garcia or Freddie Roach in his corner he would have had a better chance.
Garcia fighters come in overweight constantly. If Garcia was in Chavez's corner, Chavez would have lost half his paycheck to the scales.

I mean honestly I don't want to add to the ****t*ng on Chavez or the conspiracy theories abound on this topic but seriously I hope he just walks away from the sport at this point. He just did his family legacy irreparable damage and that's coming from someone who wanted the underdog to pull it off in this one just to see the sport turned on its head for a bit.

Come on now. He was paid to show up and not spoil the September party. That was the worst acting I've
            ever seen.

              it is speed/timing/accuracy

the same thing happens to Floyd opponents

I expect GGG to be hesitant and have trouble committing once he realizes how sharp Canelo is
Be careful. Cats on here would have you believe that Golovkin is somehow going to perform better against Canelo than he did against Jacobs despite Canelo being a much better rounded boxer.

I don't know about better but good enough to win a decision over Canelo.

Yeah, he truly dumped all over the family. The old man just hung his head in disgust. It was sad to see.
