Wilder is the worst stylistic match-up for Joshua.


The reason is that Wilder can legit ice Ioshua with as single shot. Joshua does not have the best chin or recuperative ability. Joshua runs red lights.

Fury and Parker don't have tht kind of power or speed to ice Joshua before getting knocked dead by Joshua.

Wilder is an inch taller and has an inch in reach over Joshua.

Joshua was getting hit by right hands thrown from Wlad, who he has a reach advantage over.

It isn't a stretch to imagine Deontay will, at some time, be able to land a clean right hand or three on AJ

I agree to an extent. Wilder will likely hit him with something.

But will the likely strength advantage of Joshua negate Wilder's ability to follow up? I'd also imagine Joshua would likely take centre ring and could put Wilder in reverse (though I appreciate the Spzillka KO was class).

I also agree with the poster who said Joshua's legs seem to go to concrete when hurt and Wilder would love that.

But for me, Joshua could probably take centre ring and work successfully behind a jab and could probably beat Wilder up a little bit.

I could be underestimating Wilder but in fairness to myself even now he's hard to judge apart from knowing he can likely KO anyone. We know a lot more about Joshua than we do about Wilder already based on last night's fight.

As it stands, I'd rather be Joshua in the fight than Wilder.
