Wrong!!! In an interview with Larry Merchant, Floyd stated that he was willing to go to Manchester to get it on with Hatton. However, Hatton's people turned him down. Check the preview before the Gatti fight for proof.

Why do they keep rolling Mitchell out, he was never the same after Zoo 1, he was a fighter that relied totally on his speed and slickness to slip puches - he never carried any power, he no longer has the speed either to slip punches or fire punches at the highest level. He will dance for 3 or 4 rounds then Margarito will catch him with a big punch - he'll feel the power dance another round and a half and then get KTFO.

I actually quite like him but he gets slower and slower every fight - He's a tune up at best these days - why is Margarito getting in the ring with him... absolute gash.

PPL keep saying Oscar this and Oscar that but bottom line we all know they were paying Oscar in a manner that could demand all A class competition. When they pay PBF like that then PPL can demand he fight such and such, until then he would be foolish to take enormous risks without getting his deserved compensation.
damn, talk about protecting your fighter.

mayweather isn't even close to delahoya status, and he may never be that popular or/and ever get the type of money delahoya gets and demands. delahoya is a special fighter who can produce ass's in the arena, and sales on ppv. floyd has yet to acheive this at delahoya mania status and i don't think he ever will, few fighters are this special to gain such a status others ali, tyson, leonard gained this status.

so what, 8 million dollars isn't enough of a risk to fight antonio margaito what you want more? i understand but damn, that 8 million dollars more money then floyds ever made.

here listen to what ray mancini had to say about floyd and margarito

Mitchell is finished as a fighter. He took tremendous punishment from Tszyu and Mayweather, and in both fights he didn't show much when he wasnt on the canvas. People make Margarito out to be some sort of asassin when his biggest win was over the very suspect Kermit Cintron. If he wants to impress me, maybe he should start fighting credible opposition.
          who is ready right now?
          judah- is suspended
          mayweather- hand hurts
          hatton-just fought
          collazo-just fought
          delahoya-just fought
if its in august then anyone of these guys should be ready but you really think they will sign on the dotted line.

Sorry, but your post makes no sense. Judah has not shown interest in fighting Margarito. Baldomir-Gatti is a ways off and Tony shouldn't have to wait to get a fight.

Margarito fans have every right to complain about Tony not getting big fights. Tony's promoters have offered big money, and very few are willing to take it.

Tony will destroy Sharmba quicker than Floyd did.

No one considered Cintron 'suspect' until Margarito destroyed him.

Dont worry Margs will get a big fight soon. Shane Mosely is the #1 contender for his belt so we will see just how good he is once Shane is done with Vargas. This fight should happen unless of course Marg ducks Shane. Then we will see Mayweather Vs Mosely for unification. Of course with both fighters being promoted by golden boy promotions.

Just my prediction of the future.

I guarantee this is somewhat of an "inside job" meaning Floyd probably put Mitchell up to this. He wants to see how he stacks up with Margarito. If Margarito demolishes Mitchell, we won't ever see Margarito - Mayweather.

And PBF34, as for Mayweather offering to fight Hatton in Manchester. You, and I, both know that would never happen. After what we saw in Manchester against Tszyu, Mayweather ran like a little girl. Only way he'll fight Hatton is if Nady's the ref.

Smokin, why would PBF fight him in Manchester when he's the P4P champ? ,and know's about foreign decisions with the American fighter's being unfair at times. If anybody's the ***** out of the two it's Hatton who said out his own mouth he needed tune ups berore they fought, and he's still not ready and I bet they take the easier fight next and take Gatti/Baldomir to avoid a tougher fight which could be made. And PBF is 146 on fight night and doesn't walk around at as much weight as Hatton so he'll be the bigger fighter if he fought PBF. So what's he waiting for?

Ferocity this was the point I was making that Oscar was in a different class so it's not fair to compare somebody that's getting 15 - 20 million a fight to somebody who just became a "PPV" guy. I agree Oscar is special but alot of him taking mostly all megafight's is the amount of money and PPV attraction to him. He's a well accomplished fighter and PBF will probably never be the "draw" of Oscar, it remains to be seen where they eventually end up on people's list when they both retire and any unbiased person will admit that PBF COULD go down as 1 of the all time greats. I respect your opinion but they're are fight's your boy AM could make with young hungry fighter's like Clottey who is calling him out by the way. Or maybe do like most fighter's that have been at a weight class for like a decade or more and can't get the fight they want do move up. He wouldn't have that size advantage he must want to have but if he's as good as everybody says he'd make out fine right? IF PBF doesn't get the big payday with Oscar then I would say AM is the next best option IMO and I'm sure he'd take the fight. In saying all that I understand that AM isn't scared of a Clottey or probably anybody else, just at a stage in his career that he only take's the riskier fight's that have the biggest reward. So this is the same thing that PBF is doing it's business and that's why ARUM has AM fighting Mitchell next.
