the point is margarito hasn't fought anyone to even be mentioned in the same breath as mayweather. he needs to build his resume up a little more if he wants to step in with the p4p king.

name a top welterweight mayweather beat? that was higly rated and going in with a winning streak?

mayeather fought nobody at welterweight, as it stands margarito is and should be higher ranked then mayweather at welterweight, but mayweather is given the benifit of the doubt based on his PAST wins over solid opponets

I agree with everything you said except for the part about no real welterweight. True Zab did start out at a lighter weight but he was just the champion and some PPL feel he lost a contriversial fight to Baldy. When focused like against Mayweather Zab can challenge anybody at welter IMO amd if AM fought Zab it would be his best win at any weight period if he won. And AM is fighting Mitchell so you can't discredit that fight especially since he's 146 on fight nite and it was his first few fight's at welter(unlike AM). So you have to take that into consideration and his next fight is with Oscar so that's no cakewalk. If PBF has to earn his P4P ranking in your eyes then AM should have to take some A level fight and win to "earn" his shot at the P4P king. And don't tell me if Arum 1 of the biggest promoter's REALLY wanted to he couldn't get a A level fight for him.

i'm talking about overall. how can you expect to challenge a fighter of pbf's status when you don't have any big names on your resume and don't say cintron anybody that watched cintron early on could see he would get koed sooner or later

bull****. Marg was considered number 1 at welter long before Floyd got there. They need to fight, period. This is the most important fight to be made at 147.

you should know the history with king and his fighters? king don't put his fighters in with margarito, this is known in boxing.

why the excuse of floyd only having fought 2 fight at welterweight, delahoya fought the great pernal whitiker in his FIRST fight at welterweight.

its not just about fight floyd its about margarito getting a title shot, be it with floyd, or with baldomier.

arum has offered molsey money to fight margarito but he wanted more to face the dangerou margarito, as mosley said. mosley wanted more money that arum couldn't give him cause even though mosley is a big name he is not a big draw, and margarito isn't really known either.

see, you are already using floyds past opponets against margaritos opponets.

i got the latest ring magazine and they have margarito as the best puncher and as the fighter who deserves a title shot, this coming from the Ring Magazine and they also have antonio margarito as the number 1 contender at welterweight
