That's the bottom line. You could try and find me 3 people on the entire planet who are dying for a chance to fight him at welterweight...and Mitchell would be one of them.

This fight if happens will be short, brutal, and one sided...and will just be another reason for people to duck Tony.

He's going to do his job, against a guy who has seen better days + is nowhere near his level of fortitude...and won't really get much to show for it.

Relax dude, as mentioned it takes 2 to make a fight and there are a lot of facts we don't know yet. Sure Margarito can chose other opponents but are these opponents willing to fight him?

It takes time, money and effort to put up a fight and it's not that easy. I bet Mitchell is the only fighter who's willing to fight him rightnow. Mitchell or no Mitchell Margarito needs a fight rather than being idle and in active so stop bitching.

I understand that he needs to make a fight I wish that it could be against a young fighter but sometimes you have to take what you can. I heard Clottey was calling Margorito out on another site, I really think PBF will fight him if the Oscar fight falls thru. PPL keep saying Oscar this and Oscar that but bottom line we all know they were paying Oscar in a manner that could demand all A class competition. Heres what we know. Floyd openly offered to come to manchester and fight Hatton. Floyd has called out Hatton on numerous occasions.
Hatton is still standing by his "3 fights in order to become more popular" plan.

Floyd did NOT EVER say that he would fight Hatton in Manchester. He said he would NOT fight Hatton in manchester, or anywhere near the UK.

I think Hatton's plan is a good one. Since Floyd won't fight in the UK, Hatton will get a short end of the deal in the US --> therefore he needs more exposure. Collazo was a bit of a fright for his team, surely, but the plan can still work.

Neither of them are gonna get old this year or next, and i guarantee the Hatton Floyd fight will happen. Before either of them are shot.

I think its a good fight for both. Margarito needs NAMES on his record. Most of his wins are against virtual unknowns. A win against Mitchell gives him credibility.

Mithchell needs a strong fight/win against a good oppoenent to get back in the mix.
