Yeah, he lost a couple of fights he shouldn't have. He came back and stopped both to right the mistakes.
Holyfield (x2), Klitschko, Tyson, Ruddock, Golota, Briggs, Tua, Grant, Mercer, Bruno, Tucker, Botha, Morrison...
He beat every man he ever fought in a great HW era. Most of these guys he didn't just beat, he either outclassed or obliterated them.
Lewis at his best beats any HW that ever lived.Last edited by MantisToboggan; 04-26-2017, 08:45 AM.Comment

Lennox is my favorite fighter of all time, but I think he feels a bit threatened by Joshua, with all the hype he has received to this point in his career. Lennox is a proud guy, so I don't blame him for any of this stuff, but I think he sees Joshua as a threat to his legacy as greatest Brit HW. Don't fret champ, you're still the best HW, head to head, of all time.Comment

If AJ gets knocked out twice by one punch knockouts then no. Lewis was great but that hurt his standing. I rate Vitali ahead of him. He lost to Lewis but was never even knocked down in a fight. Much less knocked out. As for Patterson, a guy can't be great who is destroyed in the first round twice in a row by the same guy.Comment

You get your facts straight. Vitali lost TKO6. Fights are 12 rounds & Vital's face couldn't last 6. So what he was winning on the cards 4-2. It's not like 100s of fights a year don't start where a guy is winning handily then gets stopped or loses. The fact that Lennox lost the first 4 rounds & stopped him in 6 tells every non delusional nuthugger he was coming on in the fight. Lennox gave Vital that shot on 2 weeks notice. No champion has done that since. Example Parker fighting Cojanu on 12 days notice...Comment

Here is a direct quote from Foreman about Ali. Mike Tyson called Ali the GOAT, and he fought Lewis so...Comment

Yup that version of Ali beats Lewis and people forget that wasn't even prime Ali. I reiterate that it wouldnt just be Ali who would beat Lewis there were many fighters at that time who would give Lewis hell, quite a few I would favour to beat Lewis.Comment
