    That's just the facts.
He was in his prime, you people forget Lennox peaked late just like Wladimir he was in his mid 30's which is obviously his peak, that's just facts.

Lennox Lewis did something that Anthony Joshua wouldn't do and that's duck a tough fight, I think regardless for AJ win or loss, he will go on to do much bigger and better things than LL could only hope of doing and he can do this all in the comfort of his home country.

lol...let's see. Ali fought well past his prime, fought the best of every era, won the championship multiple times while his 3 most prime years taken away and being out of boxing.

Then you have Lewis, gets destroyed by Klitchko, can't even give the guy ANY credit in the post fight interviews "Just look at the state of his face"...yea look at the state of the scorecards. True champions don't win on a technicality and then run away before it can be settled. His biggest accomplishment is beating an over-the-hill Tyson who was more of a circus act than a legitimate champ at that point.

I do strongly believe Lennox should have rematches vitali.
Didn't Oliver McAllister and Rahman give Lennox a rematch? So there's no excuse really. Lennox never gave people second chance to beat him. But wants chance to avenge loss? Just doesn't seem gentlemanly

Lewis got destroyed by Klitschko????? sad sad sad... and your follow up was even worst - lets go back to this particular fight... Lewis was scheduled to fight Kirk Johnson who pulled out of the fight a couple weeks b4 the date! Lewis was 37 years old and about 5 pounds over his heaviest weight, Johnson was a tune up fight b4 his later in the year matchup with Vitali - Vitali was going to fight on the under card of the Lewis / Johnson fight !!!! Lewis doesn't get enuff credit for fighting a monster with just a couple weeks of training for that particular monster! he was not in Championship shape because the person he was preparing for was shorter, and usually came in the ring in not the best shape - take your Fandom and do some research b4 you go dissing a ATG !!! learn how to give respect and stop loosely calling FIGHTERS bums at your convenience - not too many fighter 2day would gamble like that ! similar to Floyd Mayweather fighting Kieth Thurman with 3 weeks training on a short notice because his original opponent got injured and the Cable provider and venue still want to salvage the show with a even better and more dangerous opponent - and what makes Lewis a even bigger ATG is because he rarely even mentions the circumstances surrounding this fight !!!!!!!

He was a career high in weight, fat, slow and already talking about retirement. Despite that, he still destroyed Vitali's face and stopped him.

                The trolling act is old.

Lennox had an IMMEDIATE rematch clause with Rahman. He fought Oliver McCall for the VACANT WBC title & He beat Vitali on a voluntary defence. Why should he give him a reamatch? Why because he lost 4 rounds in a 12 round fight? He smashed Vitali's face the following 2 rounds. Lewis was done after he got his Tyson payday. Rahman even tried to avoid the rematch but Lewis would have taken him to court & won. There was no step aside money that was going to be enough. McCall never gave him a rematch. Lewis had to work his way back up & he even won 4 million from Tyson in court because he was the mandatory & Tyson didn't want to fight him. He vacated the belt & fought Bruce Seldon for the WBA title. That's when Lewis fought McCall for the vacant WBC title. Lewis chased Tyson & Rid**** Bowe & was mandatory for both but he had to settle for vacant belts. He simply retired after beating Tyson then Vitali. He never made a comeback. The guy retired at 38 on top.

I seem to recall Foreman also calling Frazier the GOAT.
Lewis is top 3 in my opinion. It's tough to compare eras. Ali's era & the 90s were 2 very solid eras for HWs. But Foreman on numerous occasions as a commentator on the air called Lennox Lewis the greatest HW. He did say it. He also said he ducked him in his comeback & would have ducked him in his prime. Foreman was a great HW & those words came from his mouth live on HBO.

Its interesting that Lennox still has that about him. Many former greats tend to soften as they get older and let go of that 'no one can beat me/can be better than me' mentality.
