    either way.....

They could have went with "NEXT AMERICAN SUPERSTAR"

no had to be "black superstar".

Why even put race in it?

    care to explain?
The writer explained in the piece. You can be a good guy American fighter and get respected and fame, as long as you're not a Black good guy American fighter. Race was the central theme. The article would've been pointless without it.

Even though race does play into it, this is a BS article. Its BS because theres 5000 other attributes of a boxer that are way more important to people the skin color you idiot.

      Things like:

      * Entertainment value of their fighting style

      * Dominance over long periods of time

      * Willingness to fight anyone

      * Having the ability to clean out a division, and then maybe moving up and doing it again.

Leave it to a brain washed idiot American to write an article like this.

As if white america wont like the black fighter as much, if he isn't a bad guy.

Besides, almost every bad guy in new movies and TV is an idiot white guy you moron. That kind of Fks your ****** theory.

What kinda trash article is this? Look at the "white" so-called superstars in the sport. None are American and the knockout most of their opponents, you know like Mike Tyson did back in the day.

Floyd was a superstar because he had a following from people who were in love with rich, flashy, brash African Americans who were attracted to the Hip-Hop scene. As long as he won the fights, he held his status.

If those same fans aren't attracted to other African American boxers for various reasons then blame should be placed on them, not the sport or non-African American boxers, or the fans.

Where are all the Native American superstars at? What racial bias is holding them back? I want answers to the racist forces holding this true minority back....... what say you author, what say you?

              "Black Superstar"

He can be a Superstar who just so happen to be Black the Race thing in boxing is KILLING THE SPORT that **** turns Casuals off big time I'm noticing it is one of the many reason why boxing in America is declining rapidly. Yes Racism and Racist people still exist but people use Sports to get away from the Politics and BS, most sporting events bring people TOGETHER but boxing it is push people further away

Boxing MEDIA and Boxing Fans (especially Americans) really need to do better!

And how many "white superstar boxers" are American? I mean born in America? I can't name a single one.

The author is full of schit and a prime example of why America can't seem to move past the color of a man's damn skin.

and they need a new black superstar, someone for them to rally around. a lot of them are insecure about the new europeans on the block so they need a new superstar, maybe spence will be it for them. then they wont have to bring up mayweather in every other thread.
