The closest thing to the next black superstar is in the UK - Anthony Joshua. 90,000 tickets sold, pay-per-view doing big numbers against stiffs.

In America, maybe Terence Crawford can get there but most fighters lack the personalities or the marketing ability of a Mayweather to get there. Broner was on the right path marketing wise, but fell short in the ring.

Excellent column, it's everything I try to say about race relations in boxing, black fighters aren't going to make the big cash in America and get mega fame unless you are a villain
