Jerk off, I'm not much impressed with you either. Feel free to add me to that list.Oi lad, u have picked the WORST user name possible. I have read many of your posts and it does not suit you at all (in fact, you're boarderline ignore list).
Now, to your answer.
YES!!!! IF Golovkin dropped a world title to avoid Ward, then yes.
If Golovkin drops any world title belts to avoid any fighter, he is a ducking pu55y.
Get it? I hate ducking fighters, not fighters of certain groups, nationalities, races or religions.
Now f#@k off.Comment

As far as resumes go, I don't see Canelo's being all that much better. To say Saul's wins over Angulo and Cotto as world class victories is kind of misleading to the "casual" fan. Angulo "spit the bit" in his fight against Lara whom he clearly had 'against the ropes' so to speak before the eye injury caused the stop of fight. Angulo saw this fight against Canelo as a cash out bout. Angulo is a good fighter and I am a fan of his. But he just never reached the level of a top tier boxer. The Lara fight is probably his (Angulo's) best "career" bout ever. I was routing for him too. Lara just had too much skill to overcome.
As Far as Cotto, Being a middle weight "lineal champion",... with all due respect, and I like Cotto,...Cotto pulled the "start fast end fast" strategy similar to what Porter did to Malignassi (sp?) and more recently what DJ did to Quillen, against a lame passed his prime Sergio Martinez just isn't that impressive. Thisagainst the same Martinez that ducked Gennady Golovkin. GGG had already called out Martinez after he folded Macklin like a lawn chair. Yet Canelo's victory over Cotto seems to be a major accomplishment when he looked like a super middle weight going into the ring with a jr welter weight,......yeah that's a huge notch on his resume,....I guess.
Against FM, Canelo looked like a red faced (literally) scolded school boy. I watched the fight and can't seem remembering him to ever winning one round of that bout. So scratch that fight off the resume as well.
Canelo almost always looks great against the out-classed/out-weighed fighters, but when it comes to legit top ranked fighters like the FM's and Lara's of resume,..he just isn't that impressive. And if you want to add Kahn to the mix, it was clear that he couldn't answer the speed Kahn issued before he landed the KO punch. If GGG was exposed by Brook, the same can be said that Saul was exposed by Kahn as well. Kahn just didn't have the power behind his punches to be effective. But he was ahead on the scorecards. Had he lasted the distance and got the victory on points, this would be a totally different scenario,...but he didn't LOL's Comparing the resumes between GGG and Saul Alvarez seems to be a moot point in all reality when they have both fought much different opposition. And if I'm not mistaken, Kell Brook out-weighed Golovkin when they stepped into the ring for their fight.Last edited by ThomasJK; 04-23-2017, 03:53 PM.Comment

I thought I did give them similar scrutiny.Thanks.
I agree that Lemieux is one dimensional, but it is a bit disingenuous to pick out his two worst performances and then paint his entire career in that light.
I like that you emphasize Jacobs as a disputed win, but don't do the same for Canelo's wins over Lara and Trout. In honesty, I thought GGG and Canelo deserved all of those wins. It does show your bias though. As does your need to pick at GGG's opponents without subjecting Canelo's to the same scrutiny.
I said the fighters Canelo beat (Lara, Trout, Cotto) would never lose to fighters like Alcine or Antonio Rubio."
And Lara and Trout were acknowledged elite guys going into the fights with Canelo.
But Jacobs was a huge question mark before his fight with Lil g- and in some ways he still is a question mark.
I know you are trying to appear objective, but to anyone with any sense at all, you are failing miserably.
Why?
Because the fact you are comparing a guy who had his FIRST REAL CHALLENGE OF AN 11 YEAR CAREER JUST LAST MONTH, against a guy 10 years younger yet who has already FACED 3 surefire HOFers (and perhaps up to 6) AND BEATEN ALL BUT ONE OF THEM is inherently biased.
The fact that his fans thought that a career middleweight could be vindicated as an ATG by fighting a career Jr welterweight is inherently biased.
Great fighters usually prove their greatness by challenging upwards, not down a weightclass.
Listen, I hope you are proven right.
I hope Lil g is indeed great.
But, I am not seeing that from him yet, and time is growing short.Comment
