But Jacobs was a huge question mark before his fight with Lil g- and in some ways he still is a question mark.

I know you are trying to appear objective, but to anyone with any sense at all, you are failing miserably.

    Why?

Because the fact you are comparing a guy who had his FIRST REAL CHALLENGE OF AN 11 YEAR CAREER JUST LAST MONTH, against a guy 10 years younger yet who has already FACED 3 surefire HOFers (and perhaps up to 6) AND BEATEN ALL BUT ONE OF THEM is inherently biased.

The fact that his fans thought that a career middleweight could be vindicated as an ATG by fighting a career Jr welterweight is inherently biased.

Great fighters usually prove their greatness by challenging upwards, not down a weightclass.

Listen, I hope you are proven right.

I hope Lil g is indeed great.

But, I am not seeing that from him yet, and time is growing short.

My position on Lil g is documented.

My problem with him is gross underachievement.

And that is why I am more of a fan of his than most of these absurd fanboys on this and other forums.

Because, unlike them, I am not afraid to tell things as they are and hold what looks like a possibly great fighter to the same standards as all the greats that came before him.

There ARE great middleweights that never moved up.

But none of those guys came to prominence claiming they could beat anyone in 3 or 4 weightclasses only to never try to prove it.

I want Lil g to prove it.
