he sets himself up for failure. then complains about it. he needed 5 million to fight kovalev, meaning the fight had to be on ppv, meaning of course it was going to bomb given his popularity. only thing idont understand is why hbo agreed to this. j prince behind the scene hostage situation perhaps...
You sound like Floyd. Stop worrying about other fighters money.
I did listen, and unlike 99% of the posters here, I have actually negotiated site deals, and merchandise costs, etc. But Ward is simply trying to act like a big shot because the site deal and merchandise deals really have very little to do with him personally as the fighter. Revenue splits are pretty simple, and would be pretty much all-inclusive. All this crap he is babbling about is between him and Roc (the lead promoter), and has nothing to do with Duva. Unless you think these clowns are so far down in the weeds that they are negotiating a different percentage on hats than they get on t-shirts? lol its laughable. I bet you cant tell me another time when a non-drawing fighter was talking about how it takes so long to make a fight because of merchandise deals LOL
And Id bet dinner that the first fight didnt even do 50 grand in merch lol
but but but but key fobs doe!!
Hey, those merchandise deals can be a bi*ch and you know SOG likes to dot the i's and cross the t's. lol
