what it takes...do whatever i want i'm super mega boxing star andre ward didnt you know?
Ward talks about what it takes to get a big fight done and negotiating with Duva

So the lesson of the story, Kova fans will always wonder if taunting chimp tshirts was better than an opportunity to have the Adonis' Lineal before losing to Andre Ward twice. I guess Duva loves WardComment

this guy is talking about ppv? come on man, the first fight tanked, this one will too. A side doe.... don't understand what would be different from the first fight (negotiation wise) he will get everything his way, just like before.Comment

A rematch clause doesn't mean everything is set in stone. It's just an agreement to fight again, new negotiations have to take place for the rematch anyway. And that's what he's essentially saying in the video to educate the fans who are in the whole "he was duckin muh clause, no respek" group.Comment

kovalev fans saw j prince in the video and instantly turned off their computer and ran under the coversComment

Andre shouldn't waste his breath. No need to explain yourself to a bunch of ******ed kov fans still mad you got won the fight.A rematch clause doesn't mean everything is set in stone. It's just an agreement to fight again, new negotiations have to take place for the rematch anyway. And that's what he's essentially saying in the video to educate the fans who are in the whole "he was duckin muh clause, no respek" group.
Make the best deal you can. Don't mess your business up. All the better if it puts kov and his fans in their place.Comment

I did listen, and unlike 99% of the posters here, I have actually negotiated site deals, and merchandise costs, etc. But Ward is simply trying to act like a big shot because the site deal and merchandise deals really have very little to do with him personally as the fighter. Revenue splits are pretty simple, and would be pretty much all-inclusive. All this crap he is babbling about is between him and Roc (the lead promoter), and has nothing to do with Duva. Unless you think these clowns are so far down in the weeds that they are negotiating a different percentage on hats than they get on t-shirts? lol its laughable. I bet you cant tell me another time when a non-drawing fighter was talking about how it takes so long to make a fight because of merchandise deals LOL
And Id bet dinner that the first fight didnt even do 50 grand in merch lol
but but but but key fobs doe!!Last edited by OnePunch; 04-15-2017, 05:09 PM.Comment

he sets himself up for failure. then complains about it. he needed 5 million to fight kovalev, meaning the fight had to be on ppv, meaning of course it was going to bomb given his popularity. only thing idont understand is why hbo agreed to this. j prince behind the scene hostage situation perhaps...Comment
