Yep...a religious man shouldn't let it get the better of him. The sport definitely lends itself to big egos tho...and as humble as he comes off, i think he has a huge ego.

He's defeated every opponent he's been put in the ring with since he was 13 years old, in fights he wasn't supposed to win; you've got have a bit of that MJ-maniacal competitiveness to stay on that type of form for 20 years.

Here's a hint. People either respect you, or they dont. You cant "insist" on anything when it comes to respect.

Ward's apparently been done on "insisting"; he's making sure that he gets the respect in the only way that's clear, taking it at the negotiating table and knocking off whatever boogeymen get put in front of him.
