Actually you're wrong. Unless Ward could convince Kovalev to let him have an interim fight he was contractually obligated to give him an immediate rematch. Since Kovalev did not appear to have the slightest interest in letting Ward have an interm fight Ward's options were limited to the rematch, retirement and a lawsuit for breach of contract. So sorry buddy boy. Everything you said was bull*****. Ward had to take the fight next if he planned to continue fighting.Say what you want about the contract, Ward could've just left, but he's fighting and will win again. Ducky over there had the first fight with real competition and said never again. Had the opportunity for Ward right after Ward signed with Roc but passed it up to continue living on his knees begging Canelo for a shot.
As for fighting Ward, by the time Ward signed with Roc Sports he was well on his way to 175 which is 2 whole divisions higher than where GGG fights. Who knows if he could have even made 168 for a GGG fight. It isn't as if your buttboy Ward was a chunky guy. There isn't a lot of excess weight he has to trim.Comment

he turned saunders down for june in order to make sure golden boy doesn't have an excuse to pull the september canelo fight off the table. That doesn't mean the saunders fight can't happen in december.Comment

No one ever said Jacobs didn't give Mora his rematch. The point is he whined about not wanting to give him the rematch after the fight and complained about it being a waste of time later on down the road. Mora got his Jacobs rematch within 13 months of their first fight. GGG will give him the same ****ing opportunity. The difference is that unlike Jacobs he won't whine like a b!tch about doing it.Did Mora get his rematch? Did Jacobs fight someone else before the rematch? I can hear you now, "Yeah but..." And, oh yeah:
December 6, 2015:
“I told him I love him. Me and Peter go back to the Golden Glove days. I respect him to death, but I knew this fight would be my night. There are no lucky shots in boxing. Obviously I caught him with a shot. Once I knew I had him hurt I kept going.
“I saw his eyes and it looked like his equilibrium was off. I’m not a referee, but if I was I probably would have still gave him another opportunity.”
The fight, which only lasted 1:25, begged the question of a potential rematch.
“I definitely would give him a rematch,” Jacobs continued. “I’m willing to fight him next if that’s what the fans want.”
BROOKLYN – WBA Middleweight World Champion Daniel Jacobs shocked undefeated challenger Peter Quillin with a first round TKO in the all-Brooklyn main event of SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING on Saturday in front of 8,443 fans at Barclays Center. Brooklyn’s Jacobs (31-1, 28 KOs) won the “Battle For Brooklyn,” a matchup of top middleweights facing off in the prime of their career in their hometown.

Of course Jacobs deserves a rematch and I want to see them fight again. GGG has other plans. He wants to fight Canelo and then he'll probably take on Billy Joe Saunders in late November/December. That is of course assuming Golden Boy didn't bluff GGG out of the BJS fight so they can make that fight for Canelo in September. After that who knows what comes next. It could be Jacobs. It could be Charlo as one of GGG's mandatory fights. So you don't feel Jacobs is entitled to a rematch? Well you are part of a small minority that feels that way. Every sports writer that I've read said Jacobs is worthy of a rematch! We know GGG wants Canelo, but after that, GGG should grant Jacobs a rematch like the great champions before him have done! If not, the fans should hold him accountable!
And what will Jacobs be doing during this time? Will he be fighting the next best available competition like a champion should do or will he be inactive only fighting another Mora level bum in order to protect his status for a GGG rematch. One way is what a REAL champion would do and the other way is the chump's path and boxing fans should hold him accountable for it.Comment

So GGG is going to have 5 fights in 13 months? They already said Jacobs is 5-6 fights down the road! Stay in your lane son!No one ever said Jacobs didn't give Mora his rematch.
