Sorry buddy, retiring was an option like you said so yes the fight wasn't mandatory. As far as joining Roc, he was ready to give the same deal to ggg as he did to Kovalev, but the can killer wanted to stay in the weakest division in boxing beating c class fighters then avoiding rematching the first real challenge he has had. Real fighters set the record straight asap

Ward's last fight at 168 was against Chad Dawson in September 2012. GGG made his HBO debut a week prior against Grzegorz Proksa. Ward only fought 2 times in the 3 and a half years after the Dawson fight Ward only fought twice with his lowest weight for a fight being 170 pounds. So the facts just don't support you buddy. All Ward's talk about GGG was empty nonsense that was nothing more than a blatent attempt to use GGG's burgoning reputation to remain relevent. Well obvious to everyone but GGG haters apparently. He had no intentions of fighting GGG because he knew he couldn't make 168 without cutting off an arm.Sorry buddy, retiring was an option like you said so yes the fight wasn't mandatory. And once again, when your option is to fight or retire then you have no real choice so stop acting like honoring his contract is an act worthy of a parade.Comment
