It sounds very reasonable and should shut the GGG haters up but of course it won't. Jacobs has the advantage of being much younger if the rematch is a year or two from now. Mean while Jacobs has lots of good fights he could take. How about Lara fighting Jacobs.Lara has been demanding a fight with GGG without ever fighting a middleweight. If Lara beats Jacobs it would prove he deserves a fight with GGG and he would get a fight with GGG in Jacobs's place.Comment

Has anyone seen Jacobs "begging" like Kovalev, for a rematch? Are you sure GGG would've fought in June? I read something different:

And I don't buy that other story. Sure, GGG is probably more sore than normal after the Jacobs fight but they were very close to sealing the deal with Saunders before De LaHoya's annoucement. I think its a face saving move to make it seem less obvious how desperately they want the Canelo fight.Comment

That sounds reasonable in theory at least. 3-4 fights for GGG means next year. Most cats 3-4 fights means 2 or 3 years these days. And sh^t when you aren't the A side you gotta wait til the A side calls you or til you've given the A side no choice but to call you. Sh^t Jacobs can ask GGG about that. Jacob is chasing GGG for a rematch while GGG is chasing Canelo, while Oscar is trying to line his bank account with bs fights for Canelo til he has more draws on the roster. The lower on the totem pole you are the more you gotta chase & hope the guy above you calls you up.Comment
