It sounds very reasonable and should shut the GGG haters up but of course it won't. Jacobs has the advantage of being much younger if the rematch is a year or two from now. Mean while Jacobs has lots of good fights he could take. How about Lara fighting Jacobs.Lara has been demanding a fight with GGG without ever fighting a middleweight. If Lara beats Jacobs it would prove he deserves a fight with GGG and he would get a fight with GGG in Jacobs's place.

If Golovkin was 30 years old, sure, push off the timeline of the fight; that's simply not the case.

Golovkin didn't look good in the Brook fight, and he didn't look good in the Jacobs fight.

Simply admit that you don't want the fight and move on

When interviewed Quinlin said he wanted a rematch. Jacobs said he's open to it.
No rematch happened.
When interviewed Jacobs said he wanted a rematch with G. After the fight G said he was open to it.
No rematch appears to be in the works. I'd say the two situations are the same. So what's your point?

Because Jacobs won't do a quick rematch. Most people have accepted this, he's a relatively inactive fighter. He definitely won't look to fight Golovkin in june so... and I don't see Jacobs clamming for an immediate rematch, so how can I support him?

Canelo and Saunders should be his goal for his next two fights. If I'm Jacobs I'd rather rematch him after he has all the belts with the possibility of snatching them all in one fight. Meanwhile, Jacobs vs. Charlo is the fight I want to see at MW. Two evenly matched opponents of similar size and frame fighting for that #2 spot. Jacobs vs. Lemieux is another good scrap that I think Danny wins easily.

Whether you believe GGG won or lost it's smarter to rematch Jacobs later. GGG options are Ramirez, Canelo, Saunders and Degale. All of which will get him way more money than fighting Jacobs again. GGG can fight Jacobs later because Jacobs will eventually move to SMW anyway.

Because he's got mandatories he also has to work out. IBF mandatory Tureano Johnson, WBA belt consolidation with winner of N'Dam and Murata, winner of proposed Charlo-Heiland eliminator. That's 3 fights right there that GGG will have to take sometime soon to keep his various belts. Then you have Canelo and hopefully Billy Joe Saunders. So yea, its relatively easy to have your future mapped out if you own a lot of belts. What drama queens seem to forget is that GGG likes to fight at least 3 times a year so even if its 5 fights Jacobs will have his rematch within the next year.

3-4 fights means Jacobs will get his fight soon. Jesus Christ. GGG fights 3-4 times a year.

... Heiland is fighting Jermal Charlo in a final eliminator for the WBC sot; if K2 is already ducking Jacobs, there's no way in the world that they even ponder targeting Charlo. Add that the IBF shot is likely in a pick 2 from Derevyanchenko/Johnson/Lemieux and I doubt that the interest in that aren't that great either.

NJikam makes sense, as the next WBA mandatory, but if Alvarez is committed to moving to middleweight, the Saunders fight is likely in the wind.

If given the choice of the Charlo-Heiland winner (likely Charlo), the Derevyanchenko-Johnson/Lemieux winner (lDerevyanchenko looks like the goods), and NJikam, I'm not sure how K2 navigates that without seeing Golovkin get beat.

He is focusing on Canelo. If he beats Canelo he will look for unification with Saunders. Its not as though Saunders is going to rusk his belt any time this year anyway.
