If Lara beats Jacobs it would prove he deserves a fight with GGG and he would get a fight with GGG in Jacobs's place.
What 35 year old fighter is sitting there, penciling an opponent in for 5 fights down the line? lol

If Golovkin was 30 years old, sure, push off the timeline of the fight; that's simply not the case.

Golovkin didn't look good in the Brook fight, and he didn't look good in the Jacobs fight.

Simply admit that you don't want the fight and move on

No rematch appears to be in the works. I'd say the two situations are the same. So what's your point?
Quillen got starched. I fail to see the similarity.

Jacobs has been saying he wants a rematch and GGG and his team have been saying "maybe later"

Jacobs vs. Lemieux is another good scrap that I think Danny wins easily.

Yep, Loeffler asking for a 2 week extension which turned into a month and the split ended being 60/40 like Jacobs asked for in the beginning

That's 3 fights right there that GGG will have to take sometime soon to keep his various belts. Then you have Canelo and hopefully Billy Joe Saunders. So yea, its relatively easy to have your future mapped out if you own a lot of belts. What drama queens seem to forget is that GGG likes to fight at least 3 times a year so even if its 5 fights Jacobs will have his rematch within the next year.

When was the last time he fought 4 times a year? He's out until September so he won't fight 3 times this year either.

Add that the IBF shot is likely in a pick 2 from Derevyanchenko/Johnson/Lemieux and I doubt that the interest in that aren't that great either.

NJikam makes sense, as the next WBA mandatory, but if Alvarez is committed to moving to middleweight, the Saunders fight is likely in the wind.

If given the choice of the Charlo-Heiland winner (likely Charlo), the Derevyanchenko-Johnson/Lemieux winner (lDerevyanchenko looks like the goods), and NJikam, I'm not sure how K2 navigates that without seeing Golovkin get beat.

A Jacobs fight would be five or six fights down the road

that sounds exactly like when they told Ward "maybe 2017"

Ward will never happen, neither will Jacobs, and neither will Saunders..... and, neither will 168

and..... Canelo will not happen in September either

they will roll out the mando's next

Heiland, N'dam, and Johnson (not sure which order)..... and then Canelo

actually, I think that Golovkin will still likely fight in Sep/Oct, against a hastily arranged TBA..... then he will fight 2 of the 3 guys mentioned above, and then Canelo

He is focusing on Canelo. If he beats Canelo he will look for unification with Saunders. Its not as though Saunders is going to rusk his belt any time this year anyway.
