Floyd wouldn't have lost to salido.
Loma is scary good, better than Floyd

Please don't do this. You're going to give the TMT fanboys the excuse to hate on Loma like they do on Golovkin.Comment

How about do not do this because the comparison isn't warranted. It really is a shame that you point the finger at Floyd fans instead of calling out the TS for this type of garbage.Comment

Good post. Greenk sent.I don't think Loma has the one thing that allows for him to transcend like Floyd did which IMO, was his reach. For his height it really helped him and when you watch his bouts where his ability to dominate was literally dictated by the smallest of margins and by mere inches. It was probably what allowed him to face bigger man and manipulate fights so freely.Comment

both guys lost to plodder types in salido and castillo so i dont see how you can use that only agaisnt loma and that was his 2nd pro fight or something. floyd already had like 27 fights when he lost. as far as the rest of their resumes loma has crushed prime guys like russell and walters where floyd really only fought one style unless it was old faded fighters who had tougher styles. this is what happens when you go easy on the resume like floyd did. you get passed up by guys. maybe in a fantasy world floyd is better but what hes acomplishming is more impressive at least so far. floyd still has the advantage overall of course but prime for prime loma is doing more.Last edited by daggum; 04-09-2017, 08:55 AM.Comment

I will call out who I want. In this case, it happens to be the TMT fans who have ALWAYS MAINTAINED they hate on Golovkin because of his fans - which I have always found totally bogus but that's the excuse given.
If that isn't the reason, why else do these TMT fanboys hate an exciting, skilled, hard-punching star who is ruling the MW division and who brings shine to the sport? I am simply quoting the reason you turds give.
The point of comparison with Loma is that if his fans go OTT (like the thread topic), the TMT will get insecure and turn on Loma like they did Golovkin.Comment

if he fought his second fight against salido he would have. he fought his second figth against some guy named reggie sanders, a 4 rounder and it was very competitive. you are punishing loma for taking risks lol. typical floyd fan. floyd also lost to castillo who has a very similar style to salido but that was floyds 28th pro fight. i dont see loma losing to salido anymore do you?Comment

These people are so strange. No-one is airbrushing the Salido loss, it just has to be viewed in context, with all that went on and it being Loma's second pro fight (and at that stage, a jump too far). Why is that so hard to understand?if he fought his second fight against salido he would have. he fought his second figth against some guy named reggie sanders, a 4 rounder and it was very competitive. you are punishing loma for taking risks lol. typical floyd fan. floyd also lost to castillo who has a very similar style to salido but that was floyds 28th pro fight. i dont see loma losing to salido anymore do you?
Would it have been better to have fought a scrub, and learn nothing but oh, have a perfect record? Or reach high, not make it but learn a ton. It accelerated his growth as a pro. Look where he is now compared to back then. Guys like Hopkins and Marquez had early losses, it doesn't diminish their greatness.
Salido is going to be a lifeline for a lot of guys on this site

Loma has 9 fights. He is really fun to watch and obviously a tremendous talent. But HBO and exaggerating fans are going to make us hate him. Let his career develop before these comparisons start.
Can't wait for him to fight Garcia! Crawford will wreck him at 140 though, he needs to stay at 135 max.Comment
