I swear I thought I was reading an article from boxingnews 24. I think there's been a slew of new writers ever since Jake Donovan left to fill the void, and quality has really been lacking.

Canelo wanted to fight cotto for years before he had that ****** belt. I'm sorry if you can't understand adding cotto a hall of fame great to his resume meant more the any belt there are millions of belts and ppv stars like canelo, cotto, manny, Floyd don't care much about them they interchange them or drop them. It's about money first most and making fights fans want to see second. Most fans dont even know all the belts or care. Canelo never cared about the belt or any obligations that come with it cotto had it and put it on the line for their fight. Just like he's about to dump the belt he got from the smith fight he don't care about any of those mandatories he chooses who he fights like floyd, like cotto, like manny, ect. And he fought khan for money just like GGG fought brook difference is he at least fought at 155 and didn't drag a WW all the way up to 160 like hyocorite after he bashed canelo fighting khan like GGG did. See GGG understands this is about money which is why he still wants to fight canelo even though he has no belt at 160.

There is no belt that is going to give leverage to GGG over canelo he's the biggest draw and that's what matters. Sergio was the true king and none of that matter when he fought cotto. Needed to give up lbs give cotto first name billing, fight on his date, and give much bigger split...and sergio didn't have paper belts and spotty resume like GGG. He already sold more ppvs and wins over bigger names and still none of that mattered in negotiations with a bigger ppv star. He understood he had to give up concessions too bad GGG doesn't and that's why he fights bums and not big names. He thinks he is a superstar he has ppv star demands but isn't a ppv seller.

Yup you could literally flip his name with maxi pad or jubei and get the same bias agenda view. SMH

What does canelo wanting to fight cotto for years have to do with the questions I asked, none of which you answered, did canelo take the cotto fight with the knowledge that if he won his next defence had to be against GGG, of course he knew! Biased people like yourself try to talk around facts like I've noted in my previous post, that's why your arguements have no credit, your just a fanboy

I already answered you but you are too ****** to understand everyone knows GGG was the mandatory and if all he wants is the belt then he didn't have to give in to ANY of canelo demands and he was going to be handed the belt. But if he wanted or wants to fight canelo belt or no belt he's the ppv star and clear A side he calls the shots you fight on his terms. He fought cotto to land the mega fight not defend a belt at a weight he's never fought at you dumbazZ. It's that simple. Floyd fought canelo at catch weight for his belts at 154. He knew the mandatories and obligations he won and NEVER defended those belts at 154 for 2 years before he vacated it. Only reason he wasn't stripped was the crooked belts orgs broke their rules and never enforced the mandatory. Had they done so he was going to vacate the belt earlier like canelo. Floyd fought canelo for money didn't care about defending the belt.

Triple G doesnt sell PPV'S, blame his so called fans, or non existing fans for his low, very low ppv's. He's supposed to be so popular, but the facts are that he isnt. You guys want him to be given charity, these are negotiations and how they've always worked. B side has to accept some sh|t, of course the GGG fans want him to be GIVEN something for nothing. Thats NOT boxing. Or go fight Ward, even Ward might be the A side in their negotiations due to GGG's ppv #'s, lol. both are LOW

Lil g's fanboys need to wake up and smell the coffee.

I don't need a magic eight ball to understand the difference between what the numbers dictate and what someone hopes for.

                  Lil g hopes for a 50/50 split.

The numbers say that split should be no higher than 70/30 with Canelo getting the lion's share.

At 70/30, the fight would have to do 1.5M buys for Lil g to get near the flat 15M guarantee he was offered but decided to pass up.

I think folks need to understand exactly what Loeffler and K2 balked at, get a better perspective at who is to blame for this fight not happening.

Now watch Saunders' demands go up. This was a bad move by team 3G!

Pardon the pun, you are right on the money with your take on this! A fighter's value does not reflect how good he is as much it reflects how many fans and money he draws in to watch the fight.
