Well yeah technically, for example, a student could grade out at a 3.4 in GPA and still be technically "inferior" to a student who owns a 3.5 GPA...I'm not that smart but yes, I do understand the technical definition -- but within the context of sports, inferior is mostly used as a strong word.
When I think of inferior, in sports, I think of the Cleveland Browns in comparison to the New England Patriots. That's inferior. Or Rod Salka to Danny Garcia. **** like that.
