Seriously where does "being the most popular end?" I mean for fksake they want EVERYTHING under their terms. Two and a half months is more than enough time to do a five city tour, get your promo's in order, and coordinate an event. You'd think this was the Rolling Stones doing a 6 month world tour or something. This fight sells itself, FOH with these silly excuses Oscar.

yep, pretty much he's been looking at lower weight classes since cotto moved up and beat Martinez. And no, he's had no real interest in fighting ward because he'd lose, Just like Canelo hasn't had any real interest in fighting ggg.

It's interesting to note that Oscar fought twice in same year before fighting Trinidad (Once in Feb, May, then Sept). I don't see the big deal if Golovkin fights Saunders in early June then rolls right into the promotion for Canelo. Between mid June to Sept they can do A LOT of promoting for that fight.

So I think whatever is being said today could be changed on a dime and I also believe that there could be things said today that are more for effect, spin or to angle yourself into a better situation that have lil or no truth to them.
Yea. I could have sworn to have seen a video where BJS explicitly says he'd never fight GGG but I haven't been able to find it again.

I agree with Oscar. Apart from GGG not fighting in June, he should also not get a hair cut till Sep. and there should be line in the contract, Oscar singing a opera during the opening bell.

Think about it like this: it's possible that we could get GGG vs. Canelo for the undisputed and lineal championships this year. GBP should not get in the way of GGG/BJS because it will make GGG/Canelo more significant.
This is what happens. GGG wins the belt from BJS in June and Golden Boy ducks fighting him in September. Canelo gets an undeservedly high ranking for one or more sanctioning body at 160. He wins a fight and becomes mandatory challenge. Sanctioning body orders negotiations or a purse bid will be schedule. GGG's team says **** negotiations. We get 75% of the split from the winning purse bid as champ. Canelo turns down the mandatory title shot to move up to 168 because he's "having trouble making 160".

                  No defense????

                  1. He's not getting any younger.
                  2. He likes fighting often to stay sharp.
                  3.Wants to unify division.
                  4. Canelo and Golden Boy have burned him before.
                  5. He wants to fight in his home country in June.

                  5 good defensible reasons.

GGG doesn't owe the IBF mandatory. I believe when Johnson was hurt they made Wade the mandatory so that the belt wouldn't be in limbo.

He'd owe the winner of Langford/Khurtsidze a mandatory fight and the winner of NDam vs. Murota.
