This is going to sound self-righteous, but whatever:

People hate on him because they are ignorant of boxing and limited in their views.

A lot of these dudes don't watch the little guys, or fighter from Asia, and think that because they aren't on TV a lot, and don't get media, that means that they aren't good. If its outside of their horizon, it must suck.

I will admit, I don't know all about boxing. Ive only seen one Yamanaka fight, but I don't assume he sucks.

It saddens me too, but that's the way its always been.

And it crosses racial lines, Too Sharp Johnson, Ricardo Lopez, Wongjongkam, all great fighters, but if you add up all three of their career winnings, its probably less than a mediocre heavyweight makes.

imagine Ward had lost to Brand and then I say he still belongs top 3 pound for pound.
The odds were off. I and other members of this forum have been saying that since the fight was signed. Srisaket is crude and his resume was light but his power, toughness and determination are world class and he finds a home for his punches nicely as well. Brand was a total patsy for Ward and didn't possess a single attribute that could trouble him. It's laughable to compare the two

If someone does tell you that, just know that it's normal across every single subject you can think of, there's elites every where. I post in different forums, like science research, other sports, gaming, and even a law enforcement forum (these guys are level-headed mind you, you won't see trolling here). Let me give you an example, in a gaming forum I post in there's a subsection for the game Resident Evil...I can find you a handful of posts right now of members telling other members they're not real Resident Evil fans because they don't like Resident Evil 7 (the latest Resi game), even if those people being accused of not being real fans of the series have been following Resident Evil since the game started in the 90s. They're not real fans because they don't like some new game that just doesn't fit their style (first person view, hide and seek mechanic, etc). To me it's amusing because it happens everywhere. Boxing is no different.

I would give you other amusing examples from science research forums, but you get the point. Elites are everywhere. Most I do is discuss/disagree about certain fighters, but you will never see me stoop as low as to tell someone who has probably been following the sport as much as I do that they don't know about the sport because they don't care about Finito Lopez or some bs like that.
Except you didn't merely offer a dissenting opinion, you were spewing pure ignorance and are determined to continue it seems. If someone on your video game forum comes along and starts ****ting on a game they've never even played you would call them on it too. You might even wonder how someone who only plays Call of Duty and FIFA even found themselves on a message board dedicated to "Non Stop Video Games" in the first place

Not sure what that even means, but yes, there are many members who signed up to Non Stop Boxing due to one boxer. And to ignore this is just further showing your false sense of elitism you have. Many posters are nationalistic, they sign up because they were inspired by some countryman boxer, and that's okay, and that's actually normal. Other posters just sign up because of one boxer, Roy Jones, Mike Tyson, De La Hoya, Trinidad, who knows, but it happens. Then they continue to follow the sport. You are not better than these people, because you follow some weight classes that not many other people follow. You are not better. Get that out of your head.

Actually, if you find yourself in a gaming forum in the first place, you probably really like games, and I won't question you on whether you've played the game or not, we'll discuss and disagree about things, that's all. Gaming doesn't work that way, you can youtube gameplay and determine if you like it or not from there, you don't have to play it. Maybe you get motion sickness from first person view, maybe you played the demo and don't think FIFA is realistic (don't know, don't care, never played it). You think you are an elite, all-knowing boxing fan, there's many posters of your ilk in every forum.

I certainly wouldn't question if someone likes boxing when they have over 30k posts and have been posting for 10 years in a boxing forum lol.

And yes, i'm determined to continue to post my boxing opinions, whether popular or unpopular, for 10-20 years to come, maybe more.

              You're talking bollocks mate

You have a right to an opinion but you do not have the right to spout ignorance without getting checked on it. I don't care if someone hasn't seen a particular boxer, I care when they haven't seen a particular boxer and still feel entitled to call them a bum. You are the one who has been spewing vitriol with no justification other than your own arrogance (because any boxer you haven't heard of must be a bum, right?). That's not the behaviour of someone who enjoys boxing and it only lowers the tone of this whole forum

Yeah you have 30k posts of complete inane trash, well done

Bolded: And you've green k'd plenty of those trash posts

Here's yet another complete trash post:

Rungvisai's resume is absolutely padded and full of bums, most of his opponents have a sub .500 winning percentage or lower, and Gonzalez lost to that bum beater. Which makes him overrated.

Rungvisai's resume has the most "debut" opponents of any Ring top 10 ranked fighter.

There, spouting more nonsense. True, but nonsense. But true.

It's almost as if Thailand has a different boxing culture. While you were checking his BoxRec you might also have noticed that he fought current world champion Akira Yaegashi in his own pro debut. It's besides the point. He has also won the WBC world title twice now and is self-evidently a quality fighter if you actually watch him fight - which you could have done before the Gonzalez fight if you weren't too lazy

I only just took you off my ignore list like a week ago so I doubt I've green k'd you any time recently, not that it matters

Edit: Furthermore, I actually suspect that some of the padding on the records of Thai fighters is fabricated, as has been alleged to be the case with Georgian and Argentinian fighters. And even that doesn't have any real bearing on his merits as a fighter, which as I said should be self-evident by now

You keep naming these sole fights out of 40+ pro fights, like fighting Cuadras, Yota and Yaegashi as evidence that his resume isn't full of bums. As if you're proving i'm wrong (or you think you are) that the majority of his resume is full of bums and debuts. You can't refute what i'm actually saying so you're slightly straying to some other thing like "Yeah, he hasn't fought 47, 3 of them were actually good, and he fought Sugary Ray Robinson in his first fight".

Oh you've green k'd me, multiple times actually. You're what I see as a 'frequent green k'er'. You've liked several of my ****ty 30k posts. You may have a memory of a fly, but I don't. Since we're being seen in public let's just chalk it up to you maybe being drunk the times you green k'ed me.

So you've green k'ed me while having me on ignore. Weird. But you were drunk, it happens.
