    So chocolatito started at 105lbs?
Come on now, i dont care how short u are. Competing in the 105lbs division and winning a title dont mean ****

The talent is non existent, the moment he went up to a division where the weight went higher than your average toddler he got schooled twice

Hes an average fighter who won titles in toddler weight divisions with 0 talent and somehow he got ahead of pacman, ward, kovalev etc

Choco won that fight more convincingly than Golovkin won his.

But he doesn't have the same star power that Golovkin has.

Even in defeat, Gonzalez produced more beautiful boxing on Saturday night than most of today's 'champions' do in their entire careers. The criticism he gets tends to come from the casual end of the spectrum.

          Well said, OP.

Gonzalez is a truly special fighter. And you can make a strong case that he should still be undefeated. But whatever.

What saddens me is that he hit the mainstream when he was out of his prime and out of his prime weight. Those who watched him on those Spanish channels back in the day will agree that he was the world's most underrated fighter. After winning titles in four divisions, consistently challenging himself and showing balls the size of Nicaragua, it would be a shame if he closed out his career as the most underappreciated as well.

Every division counts. I dont care if youre 105 lbs or 205. If u dominate the people in your division, you're doing your job.

Don't know why people are hating so much. Seems hate is everywhere. Every single thread is filled with hate.

Dislike towards Chocolatito doesn't even make sense. He's a terrific fighter that brings craft and skill and excitement to boxing. He's must-watch to me. I actually just rewatched the fight (my stream on the night of gave me some issues so I couldn't quite say who should've won). What a ****ing fight! I had it 6-6, I'm not mad at Visai winning cause imo that was a bull**** headbutt call in the 6th.

                    I gave Gonzalez rounds:
                    3
4 (very close, could have easily gone to Visai. If I wanted to show somebody how very alive boxing is, I'd show them this round)
                    5
6 (beautiful round for Gonzalez, truly special work...stunning to watch)
                    8
                    12

                    Visai gets: 1, 2, 7 (very close) 9 (close), 10 (close) 11.

Round-by-round I would have Visai winning if not for the headbutt, but I will say Gonzalez won rounds at a wider margin (which is probably why compubox so heavily favored Gonzalez). There were close rounds I gave to Visai. Gonzalez clearly took rounds, that were still competitive, but otherwise clear.

Unfortunately people have begun to exaggerate the loss and laugh at Gonzalez - You can always depend on some "boxing" fans to make comedy of a great and truly tight fight.

He looked pretty prime vs Viloria. I've watched a couple of his earlier fights and he didn't look as strong in them as he did there. He doesn't typically sit down on his punches, but vs Viloria he did, Wangek was another where he was trying also.
