The dislike for Chocolatito saddens me

I think the 'hate' comes from the fact that he pulled a Cotto after the fight and just walked away. Im not talking about myself but other fans.
I appreciate what Chocolatito did and also what HBO did for him. I think the little guys are now on the map thanks to them two. Maybe still not as much as other divisions but certainly more now. Too bad HBO doesn't seem to care about boxing as much anymore or they could had used that momentum and showcase more little guys. I mean, people were standing up applauding these two guys at the end of the fight.

dude he got beat by a garbage collector that was a 14-1 underdog.
I looked up Ruvingsai boxrec and that guy has the true definition of a padded record. just look at how many guys made their debuts against him. if not that he's fighting mofos with 37 and 20 losses.
pound for pound greats don't lose to bums like that. period.

It's not like he lost badly or got exposed, either.
A lot of fans were extremely bitter because they don't watch lower divisions and don't know anything about Gonzalez, and they hated that he got credit over fighter they like. So they just called him a midget bum being overrated.
Dude has had a long, highly successful career spanning a handful of divisions, and finally lost a tough fight. Now everyone who resented him for ****** reasons is having a field day.

This forum is infested with morons. The sht Gonzalez gets bothers me to, but it is so nonsensical and ******ed that I know there is no hope of educating those people, they are idiots in the truest meaning of the word.
Gonzalez's defense is definitely elite, its up there with one of the best ever. The only time in this fight where his defense lapsed was when he was dead tired and lost a lot of blood. He's agressive and a few shots get through, but this is boxing, you will undoubtedly get hit.

This is a very strange post.
Gonzalez is one of the most popular fighters in the sport, today. Amongst boxing fans - the crowd on Saturday were hugely on his side, as they have been every time he's fought in the U.S - and among boxing writers who all had him as P4P number one and winning Saturday's fight.
Strange post.
