Thanks bro I appreciate itno. Thats a myth that some ******ed pac-haters started a while back. Truth is its against the law for a promoter to take a percentage of a fighters purse (with the limited exception of promoters who lost a purse bid)
Revenue share deals are becoming more common, but the fighter is still at the mercy of the promoter as to an accurate accounting of the event revenue. Most fighters (in my experience) prefer to have a set purse that they can count on, and not have to worry about if the event made money or not.Comment

When was the last time an HBO fighter won one against a PBC fighter? Something was up. Danny asked for 60/40 and ended up getting 59/41. And that's why Haymon is running boxing and you're running your fingers.Comment

you seem to have trouble understanding that an offer and a contract are 2 different things.
Hint: Nobody bothers drafting an actual contract until all parties are in agreement as to the terms of the offer.Comment

The counteroffer is to the contract that was sent. They sent the contract (just like Ward) and Loeffler sends a counter offer (unlike Ward where Loeffler didn't bother sending a counteroffer)Comment

I've been saying it since the beginning, it's too much money. People's response is always PPV money is gonna be ridiculous and they could afford it, but I don't think people open up their calculators and do the math. They also overestimate what Canelo-GGG will do in PPV. Canelo-Cotto was the far more popular PPV and it did 900k buys, Canelo-GGG will fall just short of that, maximum 600-750k.dont you know? GBP is a 501C3 charitable organization, and their goal is to go around offering to overpay underprivileged fighters across the globe.
They are very disappointed that K2 hasnt accepted yet, because they were really looking forward to losing a bunch of money.
So idk where GBP will get that money. I've been saying it since they first came up with that flat fee offer, if it's true, idk what K2/GGG are waiting for to at least accept to call their bluff if it's false, or just accept if it's true because that's too money to pass up. He won't make that much from getting a cut of the final PPV buys.
Only scenario I can think of is that GBP thinks Canelo will get so much money from sponsors, live gate and other TV deals from Mexico that they are okay with giving GGG a big chunk of the PPV revenue. An unrealistic chunk. Because $15mill would be the lion's share of 750k PPV (roughly 61-62% if PPV rev is $24,375,000 [750k*$65 = $48,750,000/2). I'm not 100% on how promoters get all the money for fight purses, but $15mill just seems off. Seems like too much.Comment

I'm not sure, but K2 really needs to call GBP out on their bluff. Just accept the $15mill offer. They should've been done that, because it's BS imo.
With that said, since K2 doesn't call their bluff and accept the possible bogus offer of $15mill, it leads me to question how badly they really want the fight.
GGG isn't going to see $15 mill if they insist on a cut of the PPV and it ends up being 60-40 or 65-35. Canelo is the one who will take $15 mill from PPV (probably $23-25mill in total with all source of income for the fight), GGG somewhere around $10 and $12-13mill in total.Comment
