In today's world, unified. Takes significantly more work, and there have been many instances where the lineage was passed down mostly because the champion got old. Two easy recent examples are shot Maravilla with no legs losing his lineal to Cotto and Wlad Klitchko losing to Fury. They were still good fighters, but shadows of their former selves.
You can make a similar argument at LHW where Dawson lost his lineal after draining and losing to Ward. Dude has not been the same since that fight.

Both of them completely irrelevant in an era of 2 fights per year, step-asides, promoter cold wars, 'business-tho...' and other skulduggery which manifests in boxing being the most frustrating 'sport' to follow.

Be like the football team at the top of the league deciding it doesn't want to play vs. anyone in the top 10 of the table, boxing isn't really a sport in that sense then, so nor do it's various accolades actually mean anything.

we'll just watch and maybe we see a good fight.. a competitive fight.. not even of the highest level. I was soundly entertained by whyte-chisora.. which was for not much in the way of sport accolades, even the british title was forfeit for that fight, but a funny rivalry build up, entertaining and lived up surprisingly.

Sure you have...it's just called the ring champion. Lineal is just a novelty, the ring took the same concept and gave it a rating system and a belt.

But what is yall opinion on what is more important and the better accomplishment, being Unified or Lineal?
Completely depends on the circumstance. Which titles did you unify? What lineage did you win?

Dude you are making zero sense. You just said two fighters in a division can fight and both can have absolutely zero titles in that division but as long as the fans say they are the two best then that means that is for the linael title.

Now suck a d1ck you clueless mfer

                Yes it's true.

Not my fault you don't know shit.

"I've been watching since 1981" and the guy doesn't even know what lineal is. Can't make this shit up.

                  Unified, most of the times.

For example, Yaegashi was the lineal in 112 pounds when he was trash, and never beat a solid champ in the flyweight division.

At that moment Estrada was the real king of the weight with 2 belts. He dethroned Viloria who was the unified champ.

Interesting you brought up ward vs dawson...there a 2 schools of thought on that situation. One is that ward beating dawson was in fact for dawson's lineal lhw title, and that ward has been the lineal champ since then. The other is that because it wasn't at lhw, dawson's lineal title wasn't at stake and that dawson remained champion until losing to stevenson, who since then has been the lineal champ. Both scenarios show how flawed the 'lineal system' is. In one case you have a champion who wasn't even competing at the weightclass after winning it and therefore would be putting the lineal lhw title on the line vs smw opponents...and in the other you have a guy who's been champion for nearly 4 years without facing the other top fighters in the division. No title, 'lineal' or otherwise is worth anything if not defended against the best available opposition in the weight class.
