Lineal was needed since we have more then 1 belt in each division. But if someone does unify all 4 is lineal still needed?

Given to him my balls. Why where they given to him and not anyone else? why not you? why not any other middleweight?

He was the mandatory or #1 contender for those titles, and the champion move up/down/vacated the title.

      Nothing was given.

Stevenson is lineal. I'd take Ward (unified) over him. Id also take Kovalev over both.

Canelo is supposedly lineal. Id take GGG over him.

I mean Fury is still lineal, I believe. He probably couldnt last 3 rounds w/ a heart attack.

Why rely on lineal or unified. Use your brain and knowledge of the fights to decide who is best.

Lineal was needed because of orgs stripping fighters outside the ring.

It would be easier if you just said ring magazine...cuz that's what you've pretty much been talking about. The ring pretty well has the same rules and rating system you've been using to bolster your argument.

Single title lineage is what there was before there were sanctioning bodies...you're talking like it's some new invention. There are people who would like to return to one lineal champion per division, but it's not a new idea. You probably wouldn't even give a **** about it if it wasn't for ggg.

Sadly, as proven by the situation at Middleweight, both of these monikers can be easily compromised. Basically, the plethora of alphabet titles has diluted importance of world titles now. Also in the current climate, the lineal title is held hostage and only the biggest money fights take place, not necessarly the best versus the best.

It's right there for everyone to see. You haven't got a clue what lineal is.

How can you watch boxing for 36 years and not know what lineal is. Baffling.

Hang your head in shame. You don't know shit.

But when people say this person won the lineal title, that mean you can trace it back to the last undisputed champ?
Tyson had every title and was not lineal until he beat Spinks

Roy Jones had all the titles at 175 but was never lineal
