There's no good reason GGG can't fight in June & September. Dela Hoya's already on record saying they can't make the Golovkin/Alvarez fight until after Alvarez/Chavez, and even then he said they might do a Chavez rematch if 'fans' want it......

And if Canelo doesn't rematch Chavez, who other than Golovkin would be his September opponent? If Golovkin fights Saunders in June, Canelo's going to chose Lemieux instead? Four weeks extra promoting for a Canelo/Lemieux fight doesn't come remotely close to what the Golovkin fight would be after GGG beats BJS.
if i remember correctly that fight didnt crack 1 million, still did a lot more than expected, but it wasnt considered a big event by the parties invlolved, they didnt have big promotion pushing the fight, it sold a lot cuz of oscar, but the million ppv days are gone and now only big events can reach that mark... floyd-ortiz wouldnt crack a million ppvs today and it wasnt considered a big event back then... canelo-cotto was a big event and didnt do as expected due to the lack of promotio and of course the current boxing landscape...
anyways canelo can rematch chavez if ggg hasnt signed anything, and he can also rematch cotto who is desperate for a big fight, ggg fight will still be there... thats why i think ggg needs to close the deal as soon as the chavez fight is over, cuz if he thinks he is going to make canelo wait, it aint happening...

Expo 2017. Its like a Worlds Fair type event. The country would offer MAJOR financial support to host a GGG fight during the Expo.

Even a small country like Kazakhstan has alot more money to spend than HBO

Yea, while selling those fights is he going to continue to keep promising GGG is next. Because De La Hoya, Canelo, or Gomez can't do anything boxing related without getting asked if.

GGG needs to forget Canelo, that's dude isn't gonna fight him until he either can see he is weakened by age or takes a bs flat fee.

If GGG v Suanders is s for sure thing, screw Canelo.

When Canelo vacated his belt after calling ggg into the ring, and pushed the fight another year away, everyone knew then.

Canelo and his team have been all over the place saying the fight is next, maybe next, maybe Chavez rematch, maybe this and maybe that.

K2 has to go with the for sure thing now.

That's complete crap dude. Where the hell do people get this.

First, Jacobs was not having the December fight. He wanted it to be ppv.

Also, Suanders wanted his tune up too. He hadn't decided to go with GGG. The whole Canelo/Suanders saga too.

How come boxing fans think Fighters just pick any date they wish. They don't. GGG has to have dates available. HBO isn't exactly throwing money out.

Jacobs wanted more time. December was out. Next available was literally in March.

              What? LOL

Danny Jacobs not ready to face GGG in December

“From my fighter’s point of view, it’s not going to happen,” Rozier told THE RING of Dec. 10. “We haven’t really even started to gear up (for training) and we’re talking about six weeks to get it all together. Honestly, from my standpoint, I wouldn’t let him fight on Dec. 10. That’s just the bottom line. I would tell them we’re not fighting Dec. 10. It’s not enough time to prepare.”

Rozier would need “at least 10 to 12 weeks” for Jacobs to get ready for a fight vs Golovkin.

Canelita fans are quite hilarious i have to admit, there is a new low every day.

Canelo Try to Justify Another Canelo Duck

Come on guys, Golden Boy, Canelo, De La Hoya, can't even keep their stories straight. Most know they are not trying to fight GGG.

Canelo has been promising to fight GGG for over a year now. He pushed it back, back, back.

Even to this point, De La Hoya and Gomez are making comments that would seem to suggest they are not sold on fighting GGG.

De La Hoya just said that Canelo could have a tough fight with Chavez and need break. Or the fight is so close a rematch is demanded.

Remover, De La Hoya says the Chavez fight everyone wanted.

So stop making crap up to justify what has long looked like another duck.

I know, they came out in force today trying to twist things like it's Golovkin who has pushed this fight back repeatedly.

They thought it was funny Canelo was making GGG miss fight opportunities.

But suddenly GGG wants to stay busy, and they call foul.

Sounds like to me they too know Canelo is going to duck GGG and they're looking for excuses.

I think we're getting a Canelo/Chavez rematch no matter what. I think it's going to be a fun fight and it's going to do great numbers. I showed you the Oscar quote, GB won't commit to a GGG fight until after the Chavez fight and even then it wouldn't be certain at all -

"I've said all along that Canelo will fight GGG in September," de la Hoya said to the Houston Chronicle. "We can't make the Golovkin fight yet, because we have to have this fight first. But, I'll say it again: The only way Canelo doesn't fight GGG in September is if he loses this fight against Chavez or if this fight is so exciting that the fans demand a rematch."
Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar de la Hoya is standing firm on his prior statement - that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is capable of shocking the world on May 6th, an
