ChickenNelo isn't fighting Golovkin this year, next year or any year unless one loses. Mexicans do **** around.

jacobs had no choice if ggg would have enforced that.. if jacobs didnt want to fight ggg he could have been removed from the mandatory position...

And if Chavez vs Canelo sells so great to the Mexican Casuals or is even exciting or close? We all know that Oscar is doing Canelo Chavez 2 in September - and Golovkin can sit out again? Thats what alot of Canelo "fans" or lets say GGG hater would like to see.

Nope, GGG cant depend on known liars and ducks. GGG hopefully gets Saunders on June 10th, still 3 and a half months to promote. Easily enough, no excuses. No fight needs more than 3 months.. people already waited 2 years for this.

If Golovkin gets past Jacobs- obviously we all want to see him fight Canelo.

But there are solid contingency plans that they should work on:

          -Saunders to unify

-the Eubank Jr. fight that his dad sabotaged last year

-Maybe a Lemieux rematch could make sense if he gets another big KO. I don't see it going any differently though.

-Jermall Charlo just officially moved to middleweight.

-Maybe Peter Quillin if he ever tries to come back, I know he got blitzed by Jacobs but I wanted to see him and GGG for awhile before that happened. He would need to come back and get at least a couple of wins though.

Who knows what's going to actually happen here. Still very skeptical of GBP and their intentions.

Whatever you believe if it makes you happy. Jacobs would have pulled out and GGG would have had no opponent still.

Anyways it all doesnt matter since it was always the plan to have GGG fight in June in his homecountry. The World Expo 2017 is in Astana/Kazakhstan, starting on June 10th.

Even HBO flew over to Kazakhstan and filmed a GGG documentary there in preparation of his homecoming fight.

if the chavez does great and is competitive it makes sense to do a rematch in september, but not many think that chavez will be competitive, do you honestly believe that??

ggg cant depend on canelo and he has to do what is best for him, i agree on that and wouldnt blame him for taking unification over the big payday... with that being said his best and probably only chance to land a canelo fight in september is to sign that deal as soon as the chavez fight is over... or else canelo rematches either chavez or cotto.. cotto is more likely since chavez acording to many here is an easy non-competitive fight for canelo...

Yes I do. I think Chavez will take Canelo's shots and put a lot of pressure on him. Canelo will have the higher volume and better accuracy, but Chavez will be there all night.

LMAO that was fun i got to admitt..
anyways nothing is guaranteed in boxing and there is always a risk you know that, but i still believe that gggs best and only chance to land a canelo fight in september is to negotiate the fight as soon as the chavez fight is over, or else cotto will gladly take his place, and i have been saying this way before the ggg-saunders buzz started...
