Haters will say Lemieux is a 'bum' because he was destroyed by GGG but you have to appreciate his power, skills and bravery. Golovkin is just that good unfortunately. Again haters will hate.

I'm not exactly sure what we're supposed to be appreciating about David Lemieux over any other fighter. Knocked out a guy gets knocked out....ok. Put his belt on the line for a career-high payday....ok.

Oh and Charlo and Monroe would beat him... with Charlo being the Bookie favorite.

I'm not against either fight. But are either calling out Lemieux?

David Lemieux is an exciting powerful entertaining fighter, there's no denying this. Win, lose or draw he is never in a dull fight. I won't enter the debate as to where he should be placed in the middleweight division but the mere fact a lot of other middleweights avoid him say a lot. At least he steps up to the challenges in the division unlike posers like Canelo who rely more on cherry picked opponents and his mexican heritage to sell tickets. I'd love to see Lemieux fight Canelo but that's not going to happen until his skills degrade significantly. His fight with Stevens was entertaining and exciting and a good win for him. Hope to see a lot more of him in the future

Its not a weak division, its an ok division. Definitely a step behind light heavy, super feather and cruiserweight.

Honestly, how are people rating welterweight over it? People aren't thinking critically about it, that's why.

Thurman, Brook and cashing out Pacquiao, with lower tier Spence, Porter and Garcia. Bradley/Marquez are all but retired. Noone else of relevance. The only reason this division gets hyped up is because of name value...

Golovkin, Canelo, Jacobs, with lower tier Lemieux, Saunders, Eubank, Lee, Jermall Charlo and N'Jikam.

The middleweight division is just as strong, if not stronger than welterweight. The only caveat here is ATG Pacquiao, but he's cashing out. If you disagree, i'd like to see your arguments that don't rely on name value.

Charlo has not even fought there, Eubank is far from a top tier fighter and his suit wearing arrogant daddy doesn't seem to want him to fight anyone. Canelo is fighting at a catch weight for a money fight, but appears to be able to still make 154 if he so desired considering his 2 months from fight day he's 174 lbs. Lee? Are you ****ing serious? Lee's been losing most fights and only won by a single shot ko because of his concussive power, he's also not a top tier fighter. Jacobs is B level, Saunders has done really nothing except had some very close decisions, and is happy just fighting over there.

Based on your own post, you have 3 top tier fighters in the division, with 2 of them never having a fight at MW yet. Golovkin has sat around and ruined his career letting canelo be his daddy instead he could've moved up, fought DeGale or jack, and then go back down since he claims to be "small middleweight", but knows his chances of losing by moving up vs better fighters increases exponentially. Why not even fight a passed his best Dirrell? They're 1-1 and Andre said years ago he'd fight him. He didn't want the froch fight because froch claims he was offered 166. While froch admits he said 172 and he'd think about it...but they don't want to do that, even though froch FILLS 80,000 wembley stadium...so how much would he make from that one? I'll bet even fat lemiuex would go to 172 for that one...he already weighed what? 18 lbs over his weigh in weight?

So...why don't you tell me why this division is sooooo loaded or why it's even ok?

Btw, rating spence as a lower tier fighter because brook is supposed to fight him is you doing the exact opposite of what you are accusing others of. Spence has skills, we'll see for sure when he fights brook, but I think brook will lose, and I like brook.

The fact is every gaylovekin fan has hyped this guy since Saturday night, and you all are just like a fuggin pregnant woman, bending and twisting the truth and hyping guys in a division that don't have a single fight there, and passed their best fighters, or pretending they're good, when they aren't. Golovkin has stayed there for a reason, and it's not because of the unification excuse.

I compared welterweight and middleweight, and concluded the fighters seem to be of similar calibre..relatively. (with the sole exception of Pacquiao)

Spence is lower tier because he has yet to fight anyone. I don't operate on fantasy. If he beats Brook, expect their names to swap around.

You really can't question his chin or his heart, and he has a hell of a KO record. I can get why people here would question his conditioning (which nobody in this thread has), but even if that is less than perfect he does put in a workman like effort in the ring. Would I call him a highly dynamic fighter? No, but he will do his best to come forward and responsibly beat an opponent's ass down. Beyond that, he still has room to improve both his technique and conditioning, so there's every chance he may get better. I really don't get the hate. If boxing had more 'bums' like Lemieux a hell of a lot more people would watch boxing (especially when you factor in how damn pretty he is, LOL).
