I've always liked Lemieux and considered him underrated. I'm glad he phased out that goofy haircut too.

If Canelo will never fight Golovkin then Lemieux vs Canelo would be an interesting fight.

Lemieux is #4 on both Ring and Transnational and has a win over #5/#7 N'dam.

Middleweight is a good division right now. Golovkin, Alvarez, Lemieux, Jacobs, Saunders, Lee, Eubank, etc., but (almost not needing to finish my sentence) they need to fight each other.

Haters will say Lemieux is a 'bum' because he was destroyed by GGG but you have to appreciate his power, skills and bravery. Golovkin is just that good unfortunately. Again haters will hate.

I respect Lemieux for putting his belt on the line and getting in the ring with GGG. Same reason I have little respect for Saunders.

Then to hear Saunders dissing Lemieux along the lines of 'where is he now?' because Lemieux was willing to get it on with the best.

Unless you are a fan of boxers getting belts and holding them hostage for years, I agree with the article, should hand it to Lemieux.

As for Lemieux's standing at MW, who out there would be the bookie favourite to beat him other than GGG ? Maybe Jacobs, but even that might change depending on what happens between GGG and Jacobs.

Let's not overhype people. It's not as if Lemieux beat an exceptional boxer. He beat an ok boxer who was already on the way down and fighting at the wrong weight. That boy is small, short and just ok.

I'm not exactly sure what we're supposed to be appreciating about David Lemieux over any other fighter. Knocked out a guy gets knocked out....ok. Put his belt on the line for a career-high payday....ok.

Oh and Charlo and Monroe would beat him... with Charlo being the Bookie favorite.

Good article. Lemieux has balls and skills. Good guy outside the ring and easy to cheer for.
